They are a dirty little pleasure of mine. I read I-Sniper just before starting my MA degree... so have not had time for any more Hunter. They are great escapism and fun. I will read it, even if it is kind of campy. I've read everything he has written, right back to the... really bad... Master Sniper back in the early 1980's. Which set the stage for most of the later books. Hunter has been writing sniper stuff a LONG time. And I just dated myself as an old fart...
Not sure if he has had any books since I-Sniper (where his long-lost son appears out of the blue???)... So look forward to whatever is next on his hit list.
BTW, I really enjoyed a couple of the "father" books, especially the one from Cuba. Hunter did a pretty good job of the history of that. His portrayal of Castro was priceless... and Hunter was probably more accurate about Castro than a lot of historians. The guy was a bit of a twit.
Cheers and thanks for the reminder to check out some Hunter. I am going to dig out a Hunter book tonite, since I have some free reading time now.
