I need to raise my check rest up a 1/2" to 3/4" to match up with a set of ultra-high rings that were required to make a night vision devise line up. I've gotten several recommendations for an Eagle Stock Pack + the old mouse pad and duck tape technique. Any other ideas? The cleaner the better. The stock is an H&S Precision.

depends on how much you want to spend. The inexpensive way is as mentioned above then there are the more expensive options.
It's nice to have the adjustable cheek piece but it's expensive unless you have your own machinery.

When ordering my mcmillan i went through the same question. In the end I went with the stock pack because it was cheaper and I like that I can throw my range card and small allen wrenches in there, as well as hold extra rounds.
I went with the Tac-ops version.

I put a pack ontop of my adj. cheek-rest. If you need a high cheek weld and go with a stock pack, your going to be using some sort of spacer, and it can potentialy be a pain in the ass when it comes times to remove the bolt or use a cleaning rod.

My HS stock has a Karsten cheek piece and I have to say it is very comfortable. I also like the fact that (unlike a stock pack) it can comfortably be fired right or left handed. Karsten has several models, but I prefer the one with notches so it cannot slip down.

I've never used an adjustable cheek piece. It looks like the rough edges would catch or rub when fired. Any risk of this? Looks like there should be something smooth over it.
