Rifle Scopes Stupid Question...

What goes on that???... (Besides the oil I already put on those threads to stop the rust!)

It's on a Police trade-in rifle I recently picked up. It appears to be the mount for some sort of Laser designator or something but it looks "Brand Specific" to me and I was wondering if anyone here knows the brand... or if I'm even right about what goes on it. I'd like to maybe buy the accessory that's supposed to go there. Thanks in advance guys!

That is an SPA SIMRAD night vision mount. You can google SPA SIMRAD and learn all you need to know about it.

That was quick! Thank you, I'll do that... Although I have a feeling it's gonna cost more than the rifle! Any time I see the term "Night Vision" I see dollar signs!

Yep! About three years ago, a rep quoted us roughly $8,000-$11,000 depending on the model. A little it of our dept.'s price range.
