Thanks to one of the members here that enlightened me to the fact that my suppressor is in fact rated for wsm calibers, I am now at a conundrum. My initial intention has been to put a BO FTE on my Rem700 in 300 wsm to help tame recoil during target shooting sessions. Now, I'm debating over putting a QD adapter on it and sharing time with my .308 on the YHM Phantom 7.62QD. Both it and my .308 Rem700P are reliable target / hunting rigs, so I guess I'm good either way. I assume that the suppressor would actually lessen the recoil more than the FTE, but heat during extended sessions would affect it more than a brake.
My gunsmith friend told me to get my barrel threaded and try each, since I could always switch. Damn, I hate when I get too many ideas.
