Surgeon actions make a great switch barrel host because of the integral recoil lug.

They seem to be one of the best deals in custom actions with the integrated recoil lug and the integrated picatinny mount. I will definitely get a surgeon when I have the funds.

There round action and there action with the built in rail and lug have remington footprints. The round action has a double pinned lug. It will serve as a switch barrel gun too. The lug will stay put when you remove the barrel.

Yes, my Surgeon is a 260 Rem/308 Win switch barrel. Great action period.
