This is all I want for Christmas. Looks like it would be a good one. Cool footage anyway. Trying to find out when it comes out. It says winter of 2011

Re: ((Sweet)) Long Range Trainging DVD!!

Magpul said they didn't have a definite date of release yet, but the guy told me he "guessed" it would be avaialbe mid-December for sale. I'd like to have it, as long as its not outrageously priced.

$40.37

Re: ((Sweet)) Long Range Trainging DVD!!

That looks like a good series. Hope the "movie" lives up to the hype of the trailer.

In the meantime I will stick to my online lessons here on the Hide which are excellent BTW.

Re: ((Sweet)) Long Range Trainging DVD!!

I'm betting it will be north of the $50 range based on the enormous volume of material (5 dvds with nearly 10hrs of content which is larger than their other training vids which generally run up to $49.95 for sets like the 4dvd Dynamic Handgun vids). And don't be too sure about having it for the holidays since the only "official" release info says "Winter 2011" and Magpul's less than stellar concept of time!

Great products...yes. But they take their time getting them right and getting them to market.

Re: ((Sweet)) Long Range Trainging DVD!!

I own a few of their videos and love them, though some of my pro buds say Magpul is all hollywood nonsense. Either way, I always pick up a tidbit of info and enjoy their quality productions. If you guys look on UTube for Magpul bloopers you'll find some really funny stuff. Can't wait for this one to hit the stores.

Re: ((Sweet)) Long Range Trainging DVD!!

I've been keeping watch of this for some time. Posted a thread on in the movie theater. Should've posted it here would've got more recognition. Release is supposed to be this winter. I'm interested to see some of the concepts Todd and Caylen talk about. Also can't wait to see all the gear and shots.

Re: ((Sweet)) Long Range Trainging DVD!!

There is some really good info presented in this video. I can't speak for all of it, but parts are definitely NOT Hollywood. I think you will feel you got your money's worth, for sure.
Justin

P.S. Yes I have seen it but no it was not one I ordered then received, I don't know when they ship

I've done a wee bit of shooting like that. Let's just say that your dope sheet ends up looking quite different than shooting the rifle vertically.

Re: ((Sweet)) Long Range Trainging DVD!!

Officially added to my wish list for x-mas. Fairly certain I'll end up having to buy it for myself though :-(

Thanks for the link.

Re: ((Sweet)) Long Range Trainging DVD!!

It should be worth it regardless if it's $40 or $60 or even $75. The amount we all spend on our equipment far exceeds that price and with training videos like this and Franks videos as well, you get more from the small amount invested in that than we will from anything else for the price. I'm in for one as well.

I hope its not too far off. Yes I am definitely wanting the Blu-Ray version.

Re: ((Sweet)) Long Range Trainging DVD!!

I've watched the first disc and my head hurts from hearing Todd say "aight" ALL THE TIME. I hope he doesn't do this in all the discs but, I bet he does.

AIGHT

AIGHT </div></div>

That's something I could live with for the information that will be presented in the series. I wouldn't even care if they presented all of the information in while speaking in ebonics. It's stuff I don't know so I'm willing to listen.

Re: ((Sweet)) Long Range Trainging DVD!!

If you haven't or can't get out and ACTUALLY SHOOT long range, it will give you a heads up for when you get to. Some of us are lucky and get to shoot long range a couple times a month and, its nothing new.

The only bad habit I can think it will introduce is you may start saying "aight" every 9-15 words.

By using 27 rounds to get on target, duh!
That's what it'd probably take me anyways ha I watched that part two days ago, I think the most it took them was 4 or 5 shots to get on target, using a shorter barreled gas gun no less.

I am sure they are own custom made ones. </div></div>

I seen them at a match about a year ago and thought they were custom but now they show up again and I'm not so sure.
Thanks
