Does anyone know if this will work? Seems like it should since the round diameter it pretty much identical if not the same.....I haven't done that much research on comparing the two. It would be nice to be able to just swap uppers and use the same can.

Hi,

Absolutely! Ray and I have had a pair of .300 Fireball uppers based on Noveske barrels for a few years. It works great. The 30P-1 is a little overkill. You get more sound through the action than from the muzzle.

I would add that we can make a shorter version of the 30P-1 if you want.

Re: TBAC 30P-1 on a 300 blackout ?

Thanks Zak - good to know that I can use my can on pretty much every weapon I am considering building or buying.

On a different note, you mentioned that you could cut the length down of the 30P-1.....would the sound reduction and performance be the same? Kind of like the mini-cans that you see from Surefire on M4's? If you could build it - how much my friend??

Thanks again.

BTW - people still stop in there tracks every time I pull the trigger on my DMR with your can....they can't believe a .308 shooting 175gr SMK's could ever sound like that. I love it.

Hi,

Same price as a 30P-1 for the special order "short version". Sound reduction would be less with .308 than the normal version - if that weren't the case the 30P-1 would already be shorter. I can't tell you how much louder it would be, but it probably wouldn't matter very much shooting subs.

hope this helps

How much shorter is the "short version"? My local dealer hadn't heard of TBA until I enquired, and they are now being set up as a dealer. I'll be placing my order for a 30p-1 within a week and I'm curious about this "short" version. I'll be running it on a 300wm, 300wsm, sbr 300blk and 5.56. Considering I'll be running it on the magnums I should probably stick with full length, correct?

Re: TBAC 30P-1 on a 300 blackout ?

A short 30P-1/30BA is a special order custom item. We can make it as short as you want as long as it's an integral number of baffle lengths. It's only for people who have a special need for a shorter length and are willing to put up with less suppression performance. I can't tell you how much louder it will be.

For the cartridges you listed, the regular one is the best choice.

I would only recommend getting a special order short version if I already the full versions for everything, really need a shorter version for a special application, didn't need maximum suppression, and was definitely going to put a lot of rounds through it for the special use. Otherwise the regular full size versions are the way to go.

hope this helps,
Zak
