Tested out a Tikka Tactical 308 at Burro Canyon range, north of Los Angeles today. I haven't put the muzzle brake on yet...maybe next time out I will give it a try. The recoil is managable without it.

24' Barrel

1 in 11" twist

Bushnell 5 x 15 tactical mil dot sight.

Burro Canyon..65 F, don't know the Barometric pressure or humidty

All groups shot at 100 yards

I think I can get it a bit tighter with less wind, a better bench, and a better bench rest set of sandbags.

Re: Tikka Tactical check out ride

I liked it. It fits me well. I have an LMT MWS and I can never get lined up with the scope. Sure it (the MWS stock) looks cool and all, but functionally I think the Tikka stock is more functional all around. Sure its not a quad up front, but this is a different kind of gun for a totally different application. I'd love to have an old weatherby stock, but they twist and change with humidty and temps, so the tikka is more practical.

The Tikka stock gets it done, and it out of your way to let you do what you need to do, line up with the scope and shoot well.
