I'm not bashing Trij, but I bought an MRO trying to save a little coin. Parallax error was so bad I never even bothered to shoot it and just returned it. Shocked Trij would have that in the line up. Don't see that many people complaining about it though. So....what do you think, defective or just unrealistic expectations based from experience with Aimpoint H2?

Hard to tell if you haven’t actually used it. Mro and aimpoints are pretty much interchangeable unless you’re more into gear than shooting

I really liked it and the price till I got behind one. When I would first look through it. I saw one nice dot. And it slowly became two and then three. And I could see the emitter. That bothered me.

Didn't need to shoot it to verify the parallax error was significant in comparison to my Aimpoint H2, Trij SRO, and even my Fastfire. All you have to do stabilize it move your head and watch the dot float relative to the aiming point. Looked into it deeper and found a guy on youtube that did a video so I'm not the only one. Surprised it's not been discussed more. Starting to think maybe there are just some bad ones coming off the line.

It’s known that they have more parralax than a lot of the others. I personally don’t notice it when I’m actually shooting them though. It comes down to fundamentals and putting your head in the same spot every time. You have to move quite a bit for it to be off enough to make a difference.

I run MRO’s because they appear as a dot for me and not a slash like Aimpoint, and no I do not have an astigmatism. For that style of red dot they’re the best two there is and I’m not one for settling.

Agree on the fundamentals. The one I had shifted POA by about 6 inches at 30 yards depending on where you were on the gun. That's just not acceptable in my opinion and I'm inclined it was a defective unit.

You stated you returned it without even shooting it...
You don't have to in order see the parallax.
I also always find it funny that that optics guys will dismiss parallax as no big deal because "fundamentals". It's the same guys that will cry about CA. Very perplexing.
These are CQB optics and fundamentals don't always get to exist. Parallax is greater at close distances and a lot of the optics have been used in close range hostage situations. Seems to me parallax should be a very large deal.
But to each there own.

I have a couple of MRO’s and so far they’ve been 100% GTG. I also run Aimpoints with zero issues. I like that the MRO’s are a cheaper alternative, and all companies will have lemons at times, but I wouldn’t completely discount them just because of one bad unit.
