Tumbler Suggestions
01/15/2017
I am fed up picking stuck corn or walnut media out of still filthy primer pockets as well as finding it all over my bench and floor despite concerted efforts to keep it in the hoppers. I only reload for center fire rifle but I like nice clean brass and often use 1x fired brass I get from online and pick ups so its often pretty nasty. I have never played with nor actually seen a wet tumbler but I am open to the idea. I see Thumblers and some folks use rock tumblers from HF. What is a good, not necessarily cheap, tumbler that will get my brass clean and accommodate 75-100 at a time and essentially last me the rest of my reloading life?

Here ya' go! I tumble about 150 pieces of 6.5 Creedmoor brass at a time. Capacity is 17 lbs. Figure 8 pounds for a gallon of water, 5 pounds of media, and you can clean 4 pounds of brass.

I think it was Grafs that had Frankford Platinum Tumbler with 5 lbs of media for $165 shipped. Just make sure you buy the magnet!

You won't be sorry. it's a great tumbler. My wife gave me one of these a couple Christmases ago. It's great, and relatively quiet. I started with one of the Harbor Freight tumblers, and it worked ok, but it was small and noisy. I have mine in the garage, and when I turn this one on and I have to set a timer on my phone because I don't hear it and I forget about it.
