Captain Rom A Stevens, a retired senior US medical navy officer who has served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and East Africa, estimates that of the roughly 100,000 amputations performed on Ukrainian soldiers since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, as many as 75,000 were caused by improper use of tourniquets.

“I’ve seen tourniquets that have been left on for days, often for injuries that could have been stopped by other methods. Then [the patient] has to have their limb amputated because the tissue has died,” Captain Stevens told The Telegraph.

Tourniquets are strong bands used to stop catastrophic bleeding by cutting off blood flow, and are standard issue for most modern armies.

But if left on over two hours, they can cause tissue death, meaning the arm or leg which has the tourniquet on is no longer viable and requires amputation

''We believe that Ukrainian military, volunteer civilian, and NATO military trainers do not realize the high risk of limb loss and other negative consequences due to inappropriate use or prolonged tourniquet application. Nor do they see these consequences as the casualty is moved through and up the care chain, as there is no Ukrainian version of the U.S. joint trauma registry, and no regular review of complications. Casualty data are not published by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense or Ministry of Health due to security concerns.6 Ukrainian hands-on training and social media sites have over-emphasized the use of proximal placement of tourniquets without explaining possible limb loss and other complications resulting from tourniquets left in situ more than 2 hours. Yatsun reported than only 25% of limb tourniquets placed during combat operations in Ukraine were appropriate, the remainder were more appropriately managed with pressure dressings.''

Fucking Russia. Kidnapping senior British soldiers on holiday near the front lines.

Good luck on that when Trump was just being all stupid and announcing punitive tarrifs of 50% on Indian goods coming into the USA as a way to pressure them to stop buying oil from Russia in order to hurt the Russian Economy some more.

Russia has the proof in hand that NATO troops are directly involved in fighting Russia.
Trump is an idiot if he thinks after all his anti Russia stuff recently and such that the Russians will just hand foreign fighters over without the west having to seriously compensate Russia over it since they have been caught red handed.

Hard to say, ZH usually does their due diligence on items they post.
Maybe, just pointing out that I think it was old news but Terry has a point as well.

It is an older vid for sure.
However, you can bet your red, white and blue ass that this one instance is not the only time those motherfuckers have done this type shit.
Yes I can not see why they wouldn't be taking anyone they can kidnap.

I remember seeing vids early on in the war with limbs that were basically rotting, it was also pointed out by a few people how tons of Ukrainian amputees are limbless at the torso, hence most likely the result of improper tourniquet use.

Smells fishy.

Perhaps it’s a cover story that glosses over the fact that their medical personnel simply can’t keep up with the sheer number of appropriate vascular interventions required.

Can’t save the limbs lined up on the gurneys in time, so they just get cut off.

Gotta foist the blame on something, particularly when it doesn’t jive with the oversll idea of Ukraine “winning.”

It has to do with scale and drone control. If there are too many and too far away (due to drone control maybe 100m is too far) you simply either die or you suffer consequences. West is used of skirmishes not total war hence skewered expectations and statistics. Im really not optimist in the short term as people in general will not mobilize until severe world of hurt experience and we are far from it yet.

This should be a wake up call. No or less fertilizer = very bad juju. While I am a huge fan of natural fertilizers, how much cow, pig and chickenshit would be required to keep both meat and produce prices at affordable levels? And then calculate in the infrastructure and supply chain costs. Our leaders wanted a global supply chain and an ever increasing population to increase GDP, now the consequences could cut in the other direction.

Buy local.

If you don’t understand how fertilizers of all types are critical for our food supply you are way behind the curve. But I don’t think Washington knows that at our core the entire world is at its base still an agrarian society and always will be, granted with increasing degrees of technology.

Would our soils and our people be better off with natural fertilizers? Yup. But that is not what we are set up for and the transition would be extremely painful. Like starvation painful at this point. Most people never understand how fragile this whole setup is from a food perspective. It makes uranium a footnote; if you don’t have a population you don’t need the power generation of uranium. Unless you just fling open the borders. But that’s just more mouths to feed. See the issue that extends way beyond Ukraine?

It all comes down to the carrying capacity of land. That is literally what Graham and other morons are jacking around with and they don’t even know it.
And just like that, fertilizers are now potentially on the chopping block. It wasn't hard to see this one coming. The secondary and tertiary impacts if this happens are not hard to predict either, but most will ignore it and not associate it with the Ukraine stupidity. At least until it hits their pocketbook.

If U.S. Applies Secondary Sanctions to Russia - May CUT OFF FERTILIZER to USA

I'd shoot for the whole thing, and then only stop/relent at what I really wanted.
It seems that Putin has dragged this out to deplete the inventories of NATO while not going full nuke in order to cause a significant delay in any real NATO involvement so that Russia can modernize and mobilize their economy for a bigger conflict. It wasn’t just pushing back NATO from encroaching on their border as well as gaining the areas that voted to leave Ukraine. They also used the time to continue to firm up BRICS and their payment system.

If this doesn’t go full canned sunshine they have purchased significant time for Russia and its allies to see the current battlefield technology and create countermeasures. The mobilization of the Oreshnik system is part of that, and there are statements out in the public sphere stating that Russia is wanting to station some of them in Central America. Add to that China’s presence.

While Ukraine is the conflict in our face it appears to have also been a deflection from other things the Russians were doing, namely eroding dollar hegemony.

Ya I would probably have told them since so much money and lives had been spent I'd be inclined to keep going till I got it all .

Along the lines currently drawn on the map is that a river?
Or is it just east of the river?

I had my eye on the river as a natural line in the sand (Boundary) from the onset.

Saw a video of some guy who runs weapons/drones into Ukraine and up to the front. He mentioned that normally, the border with Poland has 20+ young border guards checking papers and packages. But this time, he said they were gone and the border was monitored by just two older guys in their 60's. He said this was a good thing because those solders were better used at the front lines.

The gravity of the situation seemed to completely escape him. Not sure if he's just another retard or he was trying to push propaganda. Either way, he exposed the truth that Ukraine is getting decimated.

Z man has already rebuffed any deal that cedes territory.

It seems they are in denial they have lost about 20% of the pre 2014 coup’d Ukraine. Coups and wars have consequences. Its a war they are not winning. If it keeps going, I personally don’t see things getting any better.

Ukraine is pretty well fucked.

I wonder if Z man actually did agree to the plan Putin and Trump are working on, what would other elements inside Ukraine do? Would they stop, or would they kill him. Cant help but be reminded of Japan and the coup attempt on the emperor when he wanted to sign a peace deal with the United States.

What in hell made him think the young troops went to the meat grinder and not run off to Poland?

And the 60 year olds "yes let me serve by watching this border with Poland for you".

LMAO
They are abandoning z boy left and right. Is there anyone not figured that out yet?

Tough shit. If he's smart, he'll agree to it. Might be the only way he stays alive. I'd almost prefer that he refuses it.

Edit; Right on cue. Have a "nice life" vlad 🙄

The ultra-nationalists in Ukraine will certainly be threatening to kill Zelensky if it appears he is capitulating to Russia, as they've done in the past.

I think he's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

Funny thing is there is always some fuckers left behind to either salute on stadiums or “be the core of the movement”. Humans are really a sad bunch tolerating various self proclaimed “patriots” to be left behind. Frontline assault troop positions for the whole lot…

i have scant knowledge of AG so i could be way wrong, but. it is my belief that we could rather easily feed the US with regenerative and "organic" processes. "the 1 straw revolution" and "the lentil underground" show some info on that idea. would require a radical reorganization of our entire ag production and distribution system.
i know the numbers of population involved in ag and the industrial methods used. the fact is this country produces way more than needed with current over production. huge amounts are wasted here and in "foreign" aid. BTW i care less how many starve in Africa or Gaza. US national interest,America 1st (and only). the huge waste of water, the huge destruction by chem fertilizers, insecticides and genetic manipulation should be addressed. soil health IS a big deal. same rebuilding of the livestock system really needs doing. he entire economic management of ag would need restructuring. the gov,big ag,big retail would do anything to keep that from happening and fuck it up when it was tried. same as military restructuring. the graft and corruption is as deep in our ag system as it is in the military system.
