Ultrasonic Cleaner and reloading dies

[Outcome]

I'm having trouble with cleaning dies in my cleaner, I keep getting a patina on them and I dont want to prematurly wear them. I've used US Cleaners in the past for serivicing diving equipment but we used special detergents and cleaners.

my last cleaning I ran:

75% Distilled Water (DW) with 25% Vinagar (V) for 20min
followed by DW and Baking Soda (BS) for 15min
and finally just DW for 15min.

Ive already made the mistake of using heat and wont be doing that outside of cleaning my brass, but need help with not distroying my tools. Thank you a ton.

Using your sonic cleaner for dies is overkill, just swab them with a patch just like a barrel. Problem solved.

If ya really want to take it a step further take'm apart and spray the hell outta them with break cleaner. But plain ole cheap Hoppe's should do ya just fine. Ultrasonic? Good luck with that.

The main reason for not just doing by hand was work flow, I tend to clean everything at once so just sticking my dies in there as well kept it simple. But I'm still learning about reloading so I'll take all the info I can get thanks.
