Ummmmm....What could be considered unregistered ammunition??

It's a misdemeanor charge in DC. You must have a firearm registered through the police dept. to possess ammunition in the city.
It used to be that you could only have ammunition in the caliber of your registered firearm but that's changed.

Okay.....that's uber weird but hey DC you sleep better at night?? You do you.

I have often wondered if people in DC sat up nights thinking up dumb things to do.

    It is now confirmed.

And yet, no one ever seems to go to jail.

Unregistered huh? Sounds to me almost like a bit of foreshadowing that the gun grabbers want each and every round of ammo to require a $200 DD tax stamp.
Law's been in the code for decades.
You'll usually pick up carrying a pistol w/o a license, unregistered fiream, unregistered ammo, and/or high-cap. magazine, for getting caught with a handgun in the hood.

Do you think they will require the same for those of us that reload?

It's a misdemeanor charge in DC. You must have a firearm registered through the police dept. to possess ammunition in the city.
It used to be that you could only have ammunition in the caliber of your registered firearm but that's changed.
This is what all of our futures look like

With these laws on the books, it amazes me that fudds still fall for “reasonable gun control”.

My advice would be even if you don't reload or don't even think you wanna get into it, get your reloading supplies NOW! I wouldn't put it past the Left to class all major reloading supplies like presses and dies, etc. as NFA items once Kamala takes over.

You might want to go read the story, he's forever fucked.
What a dumbass for bringing a gun to DC.

Metropolitan police said Paul Murray of San Antonio was held on charges that he carried a large-capacity ammunition-feeding device, a dangerous weapon, a rifle and unregistered ammunition.

Was responding to OP's question of what was considered unreg. ammo.

And guy's not that fucked, every charge is a misdemeanor. He'll plea to most serious charge (CDW), other charges get nolled and he gets X number of months probation. That is unless they want to indict him in grand jury on some kinda interstate travel to commit an act of terror.

I heard the gun wasn’t on him, was 3 miles away in a vehicle. A small rock can be considered a dangerous weapon(why can’t they just say what it was), and why did they detain him? What was he doing?

Maybe it was Jerry stealing some free WiFi to shitpost on /pol/. ;) Then again knowing him, it would more likely be /k/ instead. :D

I was thinking about this myself. If he didn’t have a gun on him then the media took this from some guy hanging out somewhere to an attempted assassination. They will continue to do this kind of shit until they have every gun owner in America behind bars. 😡

I look at certain states, as foreign countries. Not worth the hassle, or risk to travel to.

News article mentions that there was an intelligence bulletin originating in Texas. Happens all the time, somebody spouts off that they're gonna go to DC and "take care of things." A relative, or a snitch, drops a dime and there's a nationwide look-out. Every now and again, the subject actually makes it to DC. Guess USSS thought that the intel in this case was credible enough to stop the guy and search his vehicle.

Like I said, happens all the time.

Unless you're a democrat threatening to kill the President, or blow up the White House. Then it's OK.

On the first report from NBC4 Washington, D.C. they said the suspect also had many LARGE CLIPS (actually 30rd magazines). So I emailed them my rant and said if they don't what they are talking about just say "a bunch of ammunition." The next broadcast they stated: "and a lot of ammunition."
