<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-size: 14pt">Go to the bottom of page 1 to see the new updated rifle!!!!

</span></span>

Its a Stag Model 7 with a Mega Gator lower, Bushnell Elite 3200 10X40. It has a Magpul PRS, MOE Grip and MOE trigger guard. Mil-spec trigger w/ some spring work. I just got the lower put together. I have shot the upper w/ my other lower and its a tack driver w/ Hornady 110gr BTHP Match. I'll post some pics when I get to the range again.

I want to cut the barrel down a little and install a muzzle device. I guess we'll see how the pressure is before I get that far.

I call it <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #663333"><span style="font-size: 17pt"> MEGA-TRON</span></span></span>

I think that the picture is compressed making it look higher, actually I did not have to move the adjustments on the cheek riser to get perfect sight alignment it was already there, just adjusted out a little (LOP).

Thanks for the compliments guys.

You post it up, you know you got to expect SOME not so favorable response's. Whatcha think, EVERYONE has the same taste in rifle's, or how high/low a scope should sit? It's our opinion, and since you posted it, obviously we have the right to respond. But, it really doesnt matter what WE think, as it's YOUR money and YOU behind the scope, and as long as YOU like it, then that is all that matters.
But, if your worried about people not liking it, dont post it.

But, if it makes you feel better, me saying that the scope is high, and that was the only thing I said, we actually let you off light. We could have said it was ugly or didnt like it because it has a different color barrel/buttstock/grip/bipod/receiever, but we didn't. Now THAT would have been a tough crowd, right?

Re: MEGA-TRON

Well, PeePaw understand your point. That's why I didn't say GET LOST or you guys are STUPID. Actually the scope is the same height as a LaRue mount and the Burris PEPR mount. 1.5" from rail to center line of optic.
LaRue

Like I said the picture makes it seem taller. If the scope were any lower I wouldn't be able to get a sight picture without putting a lot of pressure on the stock. I think the thing that looks off is that there is no rail clamp running in between the rings like you see on the LaRue and the PEPR.

Thanks for taking the time to think of my feelings. According to the above post I get my feelings hurt easily

Re: MEGA-TRON

I was surprised that the rings would work on it cause they were so high but after checking LaRue and others use the same height.

I think that the lack of metal under them makes them look even higher, where as when you see a one piece mount it looks normal.

With that being said I tried to move the cheek rest higher and I could not get a good sight picture.

Re: MEGA-TRON

I like it! And I agree on the rings they look to be the same height as my RRA mount. I like rings, they let you use your scope as a carry handle when hunting.

Re: MEGA-TRON

well the MEGA-TRON is in the rebuild stage. I am adding a Troy extreme rail 13", Mega billet upper w/ feed ramps, lo-profile clamp gas block and a Tijicon Accupoint 2.5-10X56 scope as well as a Troy Claymore muzzle device. Not sure on the scope mount yet.

Thanks. It's their SPR-1.5 mount.

Re: MEGA-TRON

Well I ordered the same one and it came in today!

This is why I like <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #000066">LaRue</span></span>!!

IMG00360-20110413-1919.jpg

I ordered a scope mount and received. A Scope mount, Dillo Dust seasoning, beverage entry tool, 2 small Larue stickers and 2 large Larue stickers. I only payed for the scope mount and did not ask for the extras. I am not in the cool high speed "in crowd". They just sent them with my order.

I was on the fence between the Bobro and the Larue mount. After hearing a lot about both, I figured that Larue is made in Texas so I'd give them the business. I <span style="font-weight: bold">did not</span> tell LaRue this when I placed the order either.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Gotta love Texan's</span>

Re: update !!! MEGA-TRON 2.0

Every thing but the scope, pistol grip and stock were coated with Cera-Kote (air cure) coyote tan. After it was coated months later it was sponge camo'd with kylon ultra flat camo paint. The kry lon colors are tan, od green and brown.

The sponge camo is a very easy process. I have camoed rifles before and it was a long process. The rifle you are looking at took approx 1.25 hrs including all the prep and paint and taping up the scope which took the longest.

here is a link to how it was done. sponge camo

I think the key to good sponge camo is good prep work, ultra flat paint and natural sponges. The best think about sponge camo is that it resembles digital without all the hard work and if you get a scratch on it and that type of thing bothers you it can be fixed quickly and easy by just dabbing a small amount of paint with the sponge.

As far as wait times on the camo paint, as soon as you are done with one color you can immediately start on the other colors. The flat paint drys faster.
