My FFL called today and told me my LTR barreled action (bought here from a Hide member) was in. We had great weather here today so I was going to pick it up, bolt it in, and go shoot. Well, long story short....due to the way UPS threw the action around the trigger was broken clean off, right at the point before the trigger enters the trigger group. Anybody know where I can get a factory trigger FAST and how difficult will it be to install. Could a department armoror perform this RIGHT? It is the older style trigger. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: UPS Strikes Again! Help!!

You might try Brownells for the trigger assembly. I can switch out trigger assemblies but I don't think I've ever actually disassembled one.

Re: UPS Strikes Again! Help!!

trigger assembly swap out is a sinch! you should know how to do it anyhow. it's just knocking out to little pins and keeping everything together. i am sure someone on here would talk you through it if need be. pm me if you need help

Unless the sender wraped and I mean WRAPED UPS is not going to do anything. If you want them to do anyhing do not throw ANY of the wrapping away. I sent one to GA and they did the same thing.

Re: UPS Strikes Again! Help!!

I would definitely call UPS and ask them for a check for the damages if the package was insured. Anymore I cannot figure out which one to send it by. The postal service is an absolute mess, but the couple of times I have had something go wrong UPS corrected it while the postal service told me I was SOL. It's so damn hard to get good help any longer...

Re: UPS Strikes Again! Help!!

All you need is #45 on this parts diagram: link

I need one myself, but haven't looked very hard to find one. If you do find a place that sells it (Remington would probably be a good place to start), let me know. All you have to do to replace it is back out all the adjustment screws and drift out the pin that it pivots on.

Re: UPS Strikes Again! Help!!

Doesnt sound like it was packaged very well at all.

Without a stock, there's nothing to protect the trigger.

Not saying they werent rough with the box, but what do you expect? They have a job to get done and it's never fast enough for anyone. Did the sender label is fragile?

If a barreled action is packaged right, there's nothing they could do to that box to hurt the rifle.

Re: UPS Strikes Again! Help!!

this is why I don't ship barreled actions with the trigger installed. drive out the two pins, and put everything in a little bag, problem solved.

i'd go ahead and upgrade to something aftermarket right now, riflebasix are nice, and shillen also makes some nice ones at a good price. There are others out there, but the price tag is huge on some of them.
