Remember when Trump was blamed because federal police were protecting the federal building? They said Antifa were only rioting because of the federal troops were there. They said if he removed them the city would go back to normal. He removed the feds and what happened? They continued to destroy the city but the Pravda didn't cover it.

It's hard to tell the truth about this without sounding like a nut. They had a plan, create insurrection if President Trump handles it he is a tyrant, if he lets it happen then the only path back to order is vote Democrat.

Might not have worked without China releasing the China virus. Now that they have established that America will trade freedom and prosperity for lies about peace why stop. They feel they've a hand full of Trump cards and they are going to play them.

As for Portland, fuck it and everyone who lives there. What you tolerate you condone.

If there were Portlanders who want this to stop, they should form their own hit teams to covertly and anonymously take the fight to antifa.

As everyone else has stated ... f' portland. They got the government and city they voted for. The place is a shit hole these days. 20 years ago it was a nice place. Now a days I don't want my family going near it.

The best thing is for the rioting to happen in the Pearl district. That area has the highest density of rich fake woke liberals - they deserve to have Antifa rioting there every day.

Well, the insinuation from the left was that they would actually stop the riots if Trump was out. Which is true, they did shut these things down as soon as they were confident Trump would be ousted and they were actually going to get away with it.

What they didn't understand is that their escalation after nearly a year of free-for-all is likely to result in an escalation from far more organized and better funded foes than they've ever dealt with before. BLM and Antifa have now built a financial hub in the hundreds of millions, they're a corporation build on violence and they have to maintain that violence and culture of fear in order to continue generating revenue.

It's cold as F. Just wait until the summer, it's going to be a freaking awesome year in 2021.

Its funny how often this same game plan is used. Remember after Bush II. Everything was going to hunky dory in the middle east once bush was out and Obama was in.

No ,they aren't. They encouraged it when it was useful to them, but as I predicted they can not control the tool they helped build. I believe my words were something about using fire as tool is dangerous because it can get out of control.

I have a good friend, lifelong, who just retired out of the Hillsboro Sheriff. He told me years ago that his Sheriff would not send support into Portland because if they ended up having to use any force at all, there would be no support from the Portland establishment. He just wasn't willing to sacrifice his deputies like that. Now this is years ago, maybe six. So while it has been obvious for the last few years, it has been brewing forever.

Likewise, I remember in the mid '90s the whole Critical Mass shit show in San Francisco. That was sort of the genesis of this new left terrorist shit around the US. It has been going on, and it isn't going to stop. I don't know if it yet has become a burden to the Democrats. I think they lost a lot of votes in November over rioting. I do think that at this point they cannot stop it. It is fully organic now, back to its roots, and no longer controllable as it was during the Trump years when it played a part in the Dem game.

I don't think you can stop them at this point. Unfortunately, what all of this looks like is the between war era in Europe where you had partisan gangs fighting in the streets of many capitols. I don't think it ends well. If you have lived in any of these cities, and I have, you have seen just how violent these thugs are. They really enjoy it.

They are absolutely being helped by them.

It's unclear to me that there are actually Antifa supporters or sympathizers in large scale in any government. Rather, I think that they see them as useful in attaining power, until they become not useful. It is almost entirely transactional, which makes it harder to stop.

Yaup, most people don't realize how few people it takes to actually instigate and control a riot.

It's akin to a firehose, or maybe a gas hose is a better analogy; you switch it on and then generally aim it. The bigger the hose and the more flow you get the more it takes to control the aim.

Intelligence agencies and even most local law enforcement are fully aware of who the majority of these individuals are. None of these incidents are accidental or spontaneous, to include Jan 6. I'm not saying they control them or anything like that. But, they're capable of stopping them if they really wanted to.

Wray just called Jan 6 an act of terrorism but all the riots in the year leading up to it are peaceful protests? C'mon... there's not just tacit complicity going on here, they long surpassed the active participation by negligence (at best) many months ago. No, this isn't an anti-LEO conspiracy rant -- at this point it's obvious to anyone with an IQ over 70 that the government as a whole was complicit in all of these things. Trump was a complete idiot to not see that Jan 6 was going to happen, it was obvious before that day and it should have been dually obvious day of as he stood on a stage overlooking hundreds of thousands of people and saw less security present than is generally at a youth golf tournament.

I get what you're saying but there are unquestionably people in government positions that are more than just sympathetic to alt-left ideology.

And it's not the elected people you need to worry about. If there's anything people should have learned over the last 4 years it's just how little the government is controlled by elected officials.

Sure, but the dominant mode of government is not, despite the rhetoric, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. The dominant mode is stealing from everybody and giving to officials and supporters of officials. Thus, in the long run, what these people want is not to be equal, but to be rich and protected, and that is not, eventually, in line with the goals of Antifa et al. These people actually want stability, on their terms, and prefer to use instability to achieve that, whereas for Antifa instability is a waypoint toward collectivism.

And yes, the administrative state is hugely powerful, but they also tend to want to attain wealth and power over other goals. Instability is useful to them when it is useful.

And yes, there are some outliers, but I think it is more useful in understanding the current goings on to understand it for what it is.

Stop the person or persons who are paying them to do this. Take away their money and they will go back to their own neighborhoods and be criminals there.
