Found a good deal on one...before someone mentions the tall turrets...I don't mind them...I am not an aesthetic snob ninja...however I have seen some reports of them not tracking/losing zero overtime...however I saw those reports primarily with the 6.5-20 and 8.5-25 variant...do the 4.5-14 exhibit the same tracking/losing zero issues as the others? After all the 4.5-14 is a spit image of the old Mark 4s.

The short size, light weight and the FFP CCH reticle has attracted to me but I do not mind returning it if I am going to fight with losing zero.

I have the 8.5-25 and purchased it when they first became available. It was on a 6cm from the first shot until the barrel was done- and has since spent some time on a 300wm. Because mine is a SFP I dial it all the time instead of using the reticle. It has always dialed accurate and returned to zero. I did a tall target test and it dialed exactly correct, (most of my other scopes are within 2 or 3%.)

I don't spend lots of time on forums so I haven't read of others having issues- but mine is good. The tall turrets look a little weird- but when you are dialing from a shooting position they are easy to see. If you already have it you may as well run it- and if it does happen to have a issue then Leupold will fix it.

I bought the exact scope late last year: 4.5-14 FFP CCH. A few hundred rounds through a custom .308 and I've had no issues with it holding zero or glass clarity. Zero stop function works great. 100-650yds.

Exactly what I want to hear. Thanks. Feel for my 16" gas gun setup 10X to 15X is about perfect...

I was a little let down by other brands glass that costs more than the Leupy...I remembered my VX-Rs and my old Mark 4 optics and they had good enough glass that didnt cause me to have issues...so giving it a try.

Got mine in. Glass is great and the turrets felt great but man that eye relief from going to min to max really bothered me. I returned the optic...I've been spoiled by optics that have constant eye relief throughout ...

CCH reticle is a bit busy at 4.5-14...I would opt to go 6.5-20 if you want CCH...otherwise stay with TMR.

Those were my thoughts exactly when I reviewed a VX3i 6.5-20 a couple of years ago. The CCH is not a good fit for the 4.5-14, Leupold even states that the CCH is basically optimized for 12X and above so it seems odd they'd put it in that scope anyway. The CCH reticle in the 6.5-20 is an excellent option and a pretty good option, I liked it a lot but couldn't get over a couple minor quirks so I sent it back to Leupold.
