Sorry I have not been posting much here is a short kill clip.

Weather conditions for the first two hogs was clear with temperature in the 50's.

The third hog it was overcast with a light fog temperature was in the low 50's.

The fourth hog the one pumping the blood it was a light mist with a few rain drops mixed in again temperature in the low 50's

Just for info purposes I use Sony Vegas to create these videos but only to clip out the non action parts or to slow the video down no video enhancement is done I want you to see what the scope actually does. The reasoning behind clipping the video to just kill shots is I start the recorder when I'm making my stalk with the pvs-14 so all the w1000 is recoding during that time is the ground and my feet. I really don't think people would enjoy 5-15 minutes of ground and feet footage.

Cool video, thanks for sharing. What is the specs of your rig? A buddy and I are trying to find another place in tx to hunt them again.

This was a Bison Armory 6.8 spc shooting 120gr sst handloads with the W1000 scope on top. The drought has hurt the hog population across the state but there are still plenty!

The hogs in the background got too the next property and started rooting. I had to sit and just watch them since I don't have permission to shoot over there. But Not to worry I'm pretty sure they will be staring in a future episodes! Yes the drought has hurt the population it used to be easy to kill 20-30 a night.

What kinds of ranges are those? Is there a zoom feature on the W1000-9 if they were out farther?

Most of these are 60-100 yards the w1000-9 is a mil spec fixed 3.1x magnification. I can't explain why but the w1000 seems like it magnifies the target way more than my pvs14 with 3x attached. I feel way more comfortable taking longer shots with the w1000 vs the pvs.

There doesn't seem to be a standard across the industry as to what magnification really translates to that I am aware of. For instance the Leupold 2.5 to 8 sure seems like the top end is more magnification than 8. Also my 6X on my PVS 7 corresponds almost perfectly in magnification and field of view to my 8X Lieca Geovid binos....

I have noticed to that the 3.1X of the W 1000 seems to be noticeably more magnification than a USGI PVS-14 3X.
