Hey guys I have an old Mosin Nagant which shoots very badly. I was thinking of playing around with it and cutting the barrel back about 2 inches, i can visually see the last inch or so the rifling is worn out completley. I have a few quesitons im sure some of you can answer from first hand experince. What is the best tool for cutting through the barrel, a hacksaw? After that refacing and crowning correct? Where my last question comes in, is does it matter where or how far back, could i cut in a place that doesnt allow the bullet to stabilize? This is just a progect to keep me busy and gain alittle insight, thanks guys.
