So, I decided to just make this a new thread instead of continuing to clutter the old one from looking at Warne's mount. It just didn't make sense to go off topic.
If anyone has their own personal experiences (bad or good) with either of these feel free to add or comment.

I know this is somewhat of an apples to oranges comparison between the price and the QD function. However, I believe that the difference in these mounts bridge the gap between nicer budget mounts and lower priced quality machined offerings. So this is meant more to provide insight based upon the strengths/weakness of both offerings rather than promote an idea that one is inferior or not worth the extra change.
Although I believe both of these designs could be improved upon, they both provide excellent values at their respective price points.
I find it very interesting to see where the manufacturer decides to either allocate or remove material to strengthen or lighten each mount. Their approaches are very different. Considering its size, the Burris mount is markedly heavier and denser. I think this is where the RAMP mount really shines. It's by no means a featherweight, but they have developed great structural integrity with less material. By design, the RAMP mount utilizes all available rail space (for the optional 45 degree attachments) on an Ar15 upper and seats more than 1/5" lower than the PEPR mount.
I was surprised to learn that the PEPR mount was crafted from 7075 aluminum. My understanding is that the higher levels of zinc, magnesium and copper provide significant strength advantages over (my understanding) standard 6061 (not treated) which the RAMP is built from. Only from China could we receive a product like this at such a low price (less than one of my Troy front sights, or and Mbus set). I was also unaware that Burris guarantees with 1/4 MOA return upon remounting. I have yet to put it thought it's paces and test that claim for myself. I would assume they have very tight QC to produce a product like this from China. It's far from sloppy-
What I would like to see:
RAMP-
A model sans the rear piece of the mount (more compact)
A quick detach option
Different cantilever lengths
PEPR-
Another offering made elsewhere (like XTR) to tighter tolerances
A larger grasping area for both the QD and standard model
If anyone has their own personal experiences (bad or good) with either of these feel free to add or comment.
