Good for them. But did you see the story out of Colorado where the mother of her son comitted suicide by cop has tried to put a red flag order on the officer that had to shoot him? Of course the LE agencies didn't do anything to enforce it and the judge dismissed the case without him even being in the court room. Since the law is in place they should have enforced it but of course since it was one of their own they didn't.

Don't take this to mean I think she had a case because she obviously didn't and was trying to cause a loophole to get it done and I don't agree with the damn red flag laws anyway. But the law is still there and goes to show you that some LE think they are special and that laws don't apply to them like they do to the rest of us. If they're not going to enforce it on themselves then why should they have the authority to enforce it on us?

Good for them. Seems like local law enforcement are the guys that will make or break this. These are the guys to convince one way or another

They are supposed to have a hearing to assess the validity of the claim before granting it. They did so. That wasn’t corruption, just the system working as it was intended.
