Well the Arizona crater was formed by a object 160ft wide. A small object moving at 30000+ mph can do some maaaaaassssssive damage.

Plus we can track most object that size and probably deflect them. Since the Earth is a pretty hard target (no pun intended) it is pretty easy to make things miss. IIRC the delay is on the order of seconds (if you can delay the arrival by a few seconds the earth will move out of the way).
Worst case scenario is we discover something ;large a few days out. Anything more than that and we spray paint it white and let the sun move it out of the way.

Hmmm not so fast Kimosabe let's do a little math lulz. He specifically said 1/1000000th in size. Now if we assume the average man is 175lbs (non American of course) thats 1225000 grains divided by 1 mil (not moa of course) that's a 1.22 grain projectile. So not even a bb strike of course if you got a bb up to 30000mph (44000 fps) that might smart...where the fuck was I going with this. Hopefully not Uranus.
