Re: What accuracy to expect from Colt 6940
I have shot the M40 several times out to 1000 in windy conditions with satisfactory results. Have a basic skill set, but certainly lots of room for more knowledge, what is the saying " the more you know, the more you realize you don't know". With the acog I get my nose right up to the charging handle and really try for a consistent cheek weld. When I get home going to check the scope to mount tightness. It's a standard trigger, so a little gritty, but ok. I feel that my point of aim was on, I guess I am just not used to such loose groups. All I really shoot, besides the Cooper 22, are GAP built rifles ( Reid built M40A3 & A1, Nontypical hunting rifle and AR10), and one larger hole is not unusual.
I will try some match ammo and thinking for dropping in a Geissele SSA-E trigger, confirm the scope to mount and mount to rifle tightness. With all that in order, more work on me.
