field of view is 36 feet at 100 yards 3.2x for the 3.2-17.
At 3.8x your FOV is 32ft 100 for the 3.8-22.

can not find specs on that one, but if my math is right around 6.8ft at 17x and 5.5 ft for 22x, at 100 yards....

got my specs from Optics planet for the 3.2 and 3.8 info, should probably alert them that they are advertising incorrect specs for your scopes Doc..

No. Focal length of the lenses determine field of view. Short focal length lens will have a wider FOV.

I don't think it does J. I believe it has more to do with a measurement of angle seen through the eyepiece...shorter eyepiece, greater angle and more field of view and vice versa. Probably other factors involved or I could just be full of shit and don't have a clue but it sounded good!
