What stock for Savage .243 around the $400 range?

So my g/f is about to finish up her schooling and just got her CPS cert's. I have been kicking around the idea of getting a better stock for her Savage .243. Nothing is really WRONG with it, but it is beat up some. It is a factory stock and she used it for hunting. I am not looking for some tactical $2000 al lthe bells and whisles thing, just maybe something alittle more "custom." Since she is a girl, the LOP is alittle long for her, but she deals with it. If anyone can point me in the direction of something that may fit this bill I would appreciate it. Also, IDK if my $400 range is reasonable or not. If not lmk and I can always just get her AR15 painted (she has been asking for that as well).

Take a look at the Choate tactical. Should fit the bill nicely.

You might consider a 'colorful' laminate option, like a Hart from Stocky's.
