They want one set of rules to apply everywhere regardless of the process, product, conditions etc because they had some unfortunate deaths in NZ, most of which were out of their control. Before I set up this factory I built others in the Middle East, USA and Europe and all exceeded required safety standards.

That is the problem with the "corporate" mentality throughout the world today. I used to think it only happened in America, but am realizing as I travel more that is pervasive everywhere. Part of why I left the corporate world in 2009 and retired early. Will be heading for Brightwater, NZ in 6 weeks for the winter...

Well spent the day at K-state putting in a fire door. Its about like being at BBQ place and not being aloud to eat anything! Its probably a good thing I didn't go to college.
Nice and sunny here but over on our East coast it is raining where our biggest motor sport event of the year is happening this weekend. Expecting to see some carnage.

Getting wintery around here..
The Child Bride needed to have her chemo port checked at the local clinic, so, fire up the snowmover. This stuff started yesterday early am with rain, by mid afternoon turned into wet, heavy snow. Driveway had 3-4" of snow, could barely throw 6' it's so heavy.
Looks like it's going to stick around for another 24 hours. Sitting in place with a slow CCW rotation.

Early in the year for snow, but we've seen this before. Almost every time we get a Early October snow it goes away and Indian Summer settles in. The key word is "almost". Sure hoping that's the case with this dustup.
