I know there are a couple of really high end ($4k+) rangefinder units out there, and I've come across at least one geared towards surveying that doesn't look particularly well suited for shooting...

We need a Zeiss/Swaro/Leica bluetooth enabled LRF in the sub-$1K range with 1000+ yard ranging capability.

LoadBase (Windows Mobile) and Shooter (Android) already support the Bluetooth Kestrel -- once we get affordable LRFs with the capability, we'll be within affordable reach of the holy grail: range target, LRF sends range to software which pulls down current environmental from the Kestrel and spits out firing solution.

Zeiss/Swaro/Leica/Hide optic dealers with the ear of said company's sales reps, are you listening?

Be the first company to release a quality 1000+ yard capable LRF with Bluetooth under the $1k mark, and it will sell!
