Will a DPMS 308 carrier assembly work in an AR-10?

I was told that the bolt carrier assembly for DPMS' 308 will work in an Armalite AR-10. Is this correct? What about Knights SR-25 carrier assembly....will that work int he Armalite as well?

I've built up a 308 on a DPMS receiver. I looked into the question you ask because parts are hard to find and I wanted to expand my options. The best I figured out is it will as long as the BCG and barrel extension are the same. There are a buch of post on ARFC about I did this and I did that with DPMS and AR10 parts. In the end I went with a all DPMS as I never felt 100% about it. GAP has built a bunch of AR10/DPMS and maybe someone over there will add a thought or two. Donald
