Going to be pillar and MarineTex bedding a Win. M70. Looking for pics of bedding process and/or finished jobs. Looking for tips on M70 bedding as well. I have bedded once before with MarineTex, but that was a 10/22, so this is kind of new territory to me. Its a pre-64 if that matters Will be using a Williams one piece BM as well.

Thank You

Make sure the recoil lug is not fatter at the bottom that the top. Otherwise you will rip out the bedding every time. Don't ask me how many times it took before I checked

All the standard rules apply, lots of release agent, tape or plug anything you don't want goop in. FWIW I would consider cutting the heads off the original bolts and slotting the ends. Install them prior to dropping it into the goop, once again lots of release agent. The forward action screw goes right into the chamber area where the bolt lugs lock up, not a good place for hardened goop to get lost in.

Replace them with socket head bolts from Brownells. They are 1/4 - 32TPI and hard to find in other than gun parts.

You can apply pressure to the action and stock either hand clamps or surgical tubing. A good sharp plastic knife will allow you to clean up the edges before it fully dries. The back end is a PITA as it generaly sits deep into the stock so you either have to get it clear prior to it setting up or ........... there is no OR you won't get it out of the stock.

Those are about the only items that realy have to be paid attention to that may be considered out of the ordinary.

Cheers,
