Wind, and load development?

    I think I already know the answer this, but...

    The hurricane is going to be stirring things up on the west coast of fl tomorrow and even into sunday...

    Even at 100 yards, what do you guys think the maximum winds- say, at full value for the sake of argument, would be before you'd "bag" trying to do load development?

    I'm anxious to get the new 7-08 broken in, but no reason to waste lead and range fees only to get erroneous information.

    If the wind is going to blow that hard, are you going to be able to hold a steady rest??

    If you can you can always rezero your rifle. And sandbag your chrono, so you don't shoot it as it's falling!

    60mph FV wind will be ~1mrad or 3 moa.

    I wouldn't bother unless you'll be comfortable. Shitty windy /rainy weather isn't comfortable for me, so I wouldn't.
