I am currently working on a M40 repro project and I am looking at coating the barreled action with Brownells Aluma-Hyde Parkerizing Spray. Anyone used this much?

I am wondering how it works if you can not get the parts very warm (rec. ~90 F, but I'm looking at high 70's low 80's in a small heated area outside)?
I was thinking of building a small containment and shoving a space heater in it to spary and then let cure to touch before moving inside to finish curing for the week.

I can not spay inside (tropical bastard birds will drop dead from the fumes), but it can cure inside once it is sprayed. A week to cure.

Anyone have any better ideas for this time of year and the current outside temps here in Charleston (mid 50's day, low 40's night)?

I should have specified...I live out on the island and my house is elevated so no closed garage. There is a room downstairs under the main living area but the central heat and air return cycles through that area so I can not spay in there because of the stupid birds (never, never, NEVER, get tropical birds, talk about PITA's) So....it has to be in the open under the house or in the yard, that's why I was thinking containment with a small heater.

I think I will try the heat gun and warm the parts. I will keep them in a containment with a space heater. I have a laser temp gun so I can get the parts to the right temps without being too much over or under.

Anyone have a suggestion about using either the regular gray or should it be the dark gray for a M40 repro?
