Meanwhile in Seattle, police may not use teargas for 30 days. Glad I live on the other side of the state. Gentlemen place your bets...

Crazy times doesn't even begin to cover the nosense currently going on in America.

1 Theft and violence will ramp up.
2 Same dumbasses will scream for another solution.
3 Same dumbasses' leaders(locally) will pitch the federal police force idea.
4 Dumbasses will eat it up.
5 Federal police will have an entirely different set of rules concerning local liability.
6 Dumbasses will not catch the bait and switch until it's to late.
Maybe they should try and find the tank guy from tiananmen and ask him.

wait. I found him. The tank guy from China

sorry, the result from commies all look the same to me.

If you want to see what federalized police looks like, just imagine the same people who are TSA at the airport are now police.

You mean the ones that do cavity searches on wheel-chair bound 80 year old women and interrogate disabled 10 year olds? Yet waive Mohammed with C4 under his turban and an AK down his pant leg right through security. You don't have confidence in these stellar government employees?

Isn't it interesting that the same territorial despots who are suggesting defunding the police are the same ones making it hard/impossible to defend yourself? Wonder what the chances are that any of the new covid-spurred gun owners will consider this set of circumstances before heading to the ballot box in November? Hmmmm, no police protection, and no, you can't have a gun. Sounds about right.

hypothetical... if I'm traveling parallel to the target at the same speed, is it really a mover? I'm asking for a friend.
No, but just remember when shooting out the drivers side you are going to have a strong crosswind coming from 3 oclock about equal to the speed of the vehicle and shooting out the passingner side it will be from 9 oclock........lol

45 minutes. Check the headlines...guy drove into the crowd and then popped a round at someone.

(Is it just me, or do you find it hilarious there is a site called "visitmogadishu"?)

Hi,

Well if the Dept of State and Senate oversight committee would have just left my friend Erik alone a few years ago we could all be visiting a nice beachfront Trump Inc Hotel in an Independently owned and governed country, lol.

Sincerely,

No,... at that point you are also a mover,.... be aware, there are more points given for movers behind glass.

If you are speed matching your target, I think you will need to take travel speed as your wind correction and apply your wind rose as usual. Headwind if you are tailing your target, tailwind if he is tailing you, crosswind if he is beside you etc etc etc.

no additional lead required for the mover because there is no relative movement? Only wind?

I'll bet if you went there and asked the peeps most want the cops. The lefty leaders do not. Because they are the ones who will be the Warlords. Or so they think. BTW I don't think even Snake Pliskin would go there.

these Dim cities should be viewed as petri dishes of Dim human chaos... the super left, who has the intention to change our country into a Socialist state now are almost completely certain that standard ballot box reliance is a loser for them... they know that unless they can get universal mail in ballots for their corrupt and purposeful manipulation, they will need to completely destabilize the common status quo... and that is where eliminating Police Force dominance of crime comes in... they want the Chaos that will follow LE elimination... they want the population demanding some form of protection and that is where the Dim Communist plan will come forward... the left wants to call the right fascist... just wait until the left actually does exactly what Hitler and the Brown Shirts did..

once the police are eliminated what would the next shoes to drop be? Well, let's consider that crime will increase, pretty certain it will... there would still at least be laws on the books, or would there? if no one is there to arrest the criminals, there would be no cases to file... if there are no cases to file, why need criminal defense lawyers?... if there are no cases, and no lawyers, why have judges to preside over non existent cases? once we abandon law because we have no one left to judge right from wrong, why have the laws? if we don't want the laws that guide our society, why have the foundation that creates them, The Constitution... yeap, if then else... the leftist purpose folks... tear it all down so they can build what they want

I actually get where the Minneapolis council is coming from...

MPD is as dysfunctional as DC's elected garbage and career idiots. The 4 high profile killings that made national news in the past decade are really just the tip of the iceberg. The issues in that dept. run far deeper than most realize. Once something gets rotten from the inside out it's easier to knock the whole house down and rebuild from the ground up.

This isn't a Minneapolis will have no police force like the propaganda machines want you to believe, it's the call for a fresh rebuild. So I get it and actually agree with it. In fact DC needs the same house cleaning and fresh start, but I digress...

Unfortunately, I have zero faith in the councils ability to accomplish anything productive. Time will tell, but I will be shocked if their solution or lack there of ends up being an improvement from where it all started.

From the original link, this tidbit. Because we have not yet thrown enough money at social programs...not yet. Not until the rich are poor and the poor are well...still poor.

To quote the NY Slimes:
"Mayor Bill de Blasio pledged on Sunday to cut the budget for the New York Police Department and spend more on social services in the city, following 10 nights of mass protests against police violence and mounting demands that he overhaul a department whose tactics have drawn widespread criticism.

It was the first time Mr. de Blasio has promised to cut the force’s budget, and it came as calls have intensified across the country to “defund the police,” a broad term that has included similar proposals to trim police budgets and redistribute the money to social programs."

DiBlasio is an idiot and caved in to a small minority. I grew up in the NY Metropolitan area and remember what a shitty place it was in the late sixties and mid Seventies after mayors like DiBlasio ran it into the ground. The place was filthy and dangerous. My aunt lived in Parkchester in the Bronx which was a very nice art deco apartment community primarily inhabited by retired blue collar workers. I would stay with her for a couple of days at a time and never felt threatened. Then the city started importing low income subsidized tenants to the project and things went down hill fast. My aunt who had lived in the project for over 25 years finally left after being mugged twice. Left in '75 to go to college and never looked back. Remember the riots in Newark in '68. They destroyed the city and its been a hell hole ever since.

If you are a middle class citizen in Minneapolis you better get the hell out of there because the prognosis for the health of the city is not good.

Says it's not so, "subsidized" housing brings crime? Noooooooo.... My other thread on my libtard neighbor forgot to mention he was all in favor of the non-Section 8 subsidized housing (a rose by any other name....) they put 1.5 miles as the crow flies. In the last year I've noticed a plethora of security cameras going up in my neighborhood. Maybe they all noticed the 5 I have (and I'm thinking of upgrading to a REAL system). I don't think this increase in cameras in koinky dinky either.

Technically the Mayor... In reality, no one.

The elected officials get the media attention, but most decisions are delegated to MPD ass hats hidden behind the protection of the union banner and rubber stamped by a mayor who has no clue. Very few if any Minneapolis mayor has ever had the qualifications to create or correct police policy. When mayors do get involved they just come up with top notch ideas anyways; like abandoning precincts to be burned to the ground by protesters and leaving entire neighborhoods completely abandoned and unprotected by the police force in the process.

There are no wins in the current system. No accountability. Just a continued series of failures.

So team blue has had the reins for 40ish years and appointed the Chiefs.
We all know in these political linked jobs they'll have their own team.
These practices run down hill to even mid level choices.
The farce of making this a racial issue instead of a bad cop issue has delivered
up the outcome.
Easy to pull the racial card back out than an idictment of what is almost assuredly failures
seen in blue cities and leadership.
I present you Chicago as a case study.

I don't know anything about it, and you may very well be right that it's a rotten department with rotten officers and rotten leadership... If so, all that makes sense, but that is not what they're saying, and it isn't what they're proposing.

They are NOT saying that they are going to scrap what they have, start from scratch and rebuild their police department. They are saying, "Yes. We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department and replace it with a transformative new model of public safety." Appearently this "new" model does not include what we think of as a police department. I am drawing a total blank as to what she might mean. Seriously, without law enforcement I just don't see how you can realistically envision "public safety". The two are integral to each other.

"To do this kind of big work, we need a deeper, broader conversation than we’ve ever had before,” she said. “We need white people, like me and my neighbors, to show up in a different way.” Again, not being a communist, or versed in New Speak, I don't know what this means either...? It's English, but I don't understand what she means other than:

Even when it's about black people...it's still about white people.

Addressing the difficult and intractable cultural issues that underlie all this (that are uncomfortable to talk about) makes you a racist. But, it's courageous to speak in virtue-signaling platitudes, and meaningless jargon, saying things that all people generally agree with and that get applauded by the media. It's shit like this that makes me tend to start believing all the people who think these are the signs of our demise, and The Republic is in the twilight hours as spoiled children rend it from within.

They know exactly what they are doing. The "New" police force will be all woke.

They will be giving ANTIFA badges.

There was a term for that in the 1900's. It was called The Gestapo.

It worked, actually.

The first generation of Peacekeepers will come from Minnesota. Maybe Guy Montag the book-burning fireman will be from there, too.

I'm afraid that what they are calling a "transformative model of public safety" may be centered around city-wide voice and face recognition software/cameras covering everything. Too little elapsed time between showing up on cameras? A speeding ticket shows up in your inbox. In the wrong end of town, or where you don't regularly go? A few gendarmes start a case on you. Say something deemed offensive in public? It's picked up by software, and you face investigation from your boss/police/social services/fill in the blank. They're already monitoring the web like that.

One of y'all posted that video of the Chinese Uighurs, and what they're going thru right now. Don't think we're immune from that. We're almost to the place where people will vote FOR that, for "muh safety".

Hi,

I could bring in on contract about 100 guys from Sierra Leone and pretty much have all the criminals cleared from any major city in about 3 days.

The violent protesters have never seen anger and commitment to a task as those former child soldiers turned private military contractors.......

My guess...

You're thinking way bigger than where this will go by reading too much into fancy public appeasing political wording. Being this measure was passed with no clear direction forward I have far less faith anyone will actually accomplish anything meaningful. At least in DC they pretend to have a plan for going the direction they are heading even though we all know they will never actually end up getting there.

"Transformative new model" and "big work...deeper...broader conversation", to me just means they want something they can package as a selling/talking point to the general public. Whether they actually make any impact for the better or not.

That way they can at least say "new model" and "transformed policing" you know "for justice" during their re-elected campaigns.

Like all of the Californians contaminating the rest of the west...I doubt they‘ll stay and stick it out.

They want to put counselors and social workers on duty as first responders. Do they think they’ll have a slew of folks who worked eight years to get their license beating down the doors to get that job? Shit, the industry has a hard time finding folks with a license willing to go on a three month working trip to Bavaria or Hawaii while being very well compensated, how much are they going to have to pay to haul ass to the scene of a drive by shooting when nobody else responding is going to be armed to protect them?

I love it, the cities are finally going to get exactly what they’re both asking for, and deserve. Defund them, fire them all (aka buy out everyone so they’ll still pay for it), and let the rest of us watch and laugh.

Bet they would be especially 'happy' to see that the protesters who are so oppressed had cars worth more than the GDP of their entire village... and were drinking Starbucks that cost more per cup than the weekly wage in parts of Sierra Leone.

Yeah... they would be pretty motivated! And pretty relentless.

Sounds like a good plan? Want to see if we can get some VC funding for it? The return revenue comes in selling everything confiscated from the Wokes. Including the livers, kidneys and other salable parts. I like it!
