Maggie’s Wyoming/Montana/South Dakota Snowmobiling?

I'd like to book a snowmobiling trip somewhere in that general area but I was wondering when would be the best time. Late fall/early winter or dead in the middle of winter? At what time are the trails at their best?

Also, anyone know of any good snowmobiling outfits in any of the aforementioned areas?

Where in MT and WY? West Yellowstone has several shops to go into the park. The Black Hills area has the more consistent snow and many businesses around there. Try Terry Peak locale.

I have used, J & L Snowmobile Rentals, Columbia Falls Mt. a couple of times while staying in Kalispell. Went and rode at Big Mountain. We usually just rent extra's from them. I am sure there is others in that area too.

I was in the Black Hills of South Dakota all last week hunting. The trails are mainly out of the Deadwood/Lead area, northern hills. There isn't a ton of snow right now but the trails all looked good.

Definitely go to WY or Montana - money well spent vs SD, which I would not waste my time....

A bunch of guys I worked with a couple airlines ago...all used to go out to Cooke City.
