Hey guys I am going to change my reloading technique in an effort to increase accuracy, I bought an Allen Precision 338 Lapua on the Hide and I want my loads up to par with the rifle.
So far I have purchased a redding full length bushing die and competion seater. Heres what I am still looking for feel free to add anything else I probably need,

1. bullet comperator (wich one)
2. headspace gauge (wich one and do I need it)
3. bullet runout gauge " "
4. Im sure I am missin something.

Thanks Fellas

Re: Your opinion of what I need

Hornady bought the rights for the Stoney Point Bullet Comparator. The main holder fits onto your dial calipers. And the Hornady headspace guage fits in the same holder.

I am currently using a concentricity device that I made. But NECO, RCBS and Sinclair’s all build good units. I have used them all.

I am assuming that you are an experienced handloader and making precision rifle ammo. If that is not the case, get a Lyman’s Centerfire Handloading Manual and read all the basic information. Not the caliber specific data. Read the setup and safety chapters twice.

Good luck.

The Hornady comparator is good. I like the RCBS Precision Mic for headspace dealings. As far as runout, its still something I don't measure...maybe to my disadvantage...
