Biden's Pardons

Biden's pardons just got a lot worse. We thought commuting the sentences of all those corrupt democrats that hurt and stole millions from American citizens was bad enough; meanwhile Biden thinks heck, let's get a bunch of people off of a death row.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon bomber, Dylann Roof, the man who fatally shot 9 parishioners at a church in South Carolina, and Robert Bowers, the man who carried out a mass shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue, are all currently on death row.

Biden has now pardoned over 9000 people.

Note: Names in [ ] are defendants whose conviction or death sentence have been reversed by the courts but the reversal is not yet final, or who are awaiting capital retrials or resentencings after an initial conviction or death sentence was overturned. Those awaiting retrial or resentencing are marked with a caret (^). From time to time, this list may include defendants whose cases are marked with an asterisk (*). This indicates that the defendant has received a verdict of death from the jury, but the judge has not yet issued a formal sentence. In the federal system, the judge is obliged to follow a unanimous jury recommendation. (Source: Federal Capital Habeas Project.)
Because of different definitions of what constitutes being “on death row,” some organizations such as the Federal Death Penalty Resource Counsel or the Bureau of Justice Statistics may have a slightly different list of those currently under federal sentence of death. The DPIC total includes individuals whose capital convictions and/or death sentences have been overturned and who face continuing jeopardy of the death penalty until their retrial or resentencing proceedings are completed, although those individuals do not have a valid death sentence and are presumed innocent of the death penalty.
** Has co-defendant, as noted, also on death row.
*** States in bold have abolished the death penalty.
+ Has co-defendant(s) not on death row.
*States without their own death penalty law when the federal sentence was imposed. Illinois, Maryland, Connecticut, and Virginia no longer have the death penalty, but the federal death sentences in each state came when the state’s death penalty was still in effect.

Shady or Not Shady?

If you bought a rifle off the forum, a specific model that has very specific parts, and you didn’t ask if it was a stock rifle, and their ad doesn’t mention if it is stock or not, and the rifle shows up with all the good parts taken off, Would you consider that a shady business deal? For example, if you bought a Seekins Precision PH2 NRL which comes stock with a TriggerTech Diamond trigger, and it shows up and it’s not a Diamond trigger, would you have a problem with it?

Long Range for beginners

Hey guys, l got a buddy who's into LR stuff and is always bugging me to go shoot with him. I've had plenty of shooting exp but never stretched it out before. I have a couple of very basic questions.

When you're running a big decked out scope that you can hold off or dial, does the caliber really matter that much? Is drop basically irrelevant and BC the basic consideration?

I have a Ruger Mark ll M77 in 7 mag and a Rem 700 30-06 that I'm not doing anything else with. I could also buy a 6.5 Creedmoor. Will either of the three calibers really be drastically different with the right scope setup?

More excitement from my back'yard'.

I previously shared my immense amusement since moving into the new house of listening to the Horned Owls in the woods behind me (https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/im-a-big-fan-of-owls-personally.7231649/) and also sought out the collective's opinion on a toad (https://www.snipershide.com/shootin...ians-ive-got-a-question-about-a-toad.7232563/) .

Tonight was another first since living here and the topic of discussion is...

1734672862550.png

Yep- that's right we're talking coyotes. I've long suspected that they were in the area but tonight is the 1st night I've heard them and holy smokes- they're making up for lost time. It sounds like there must be at least a half dozen of 'em but I'm 100% certain they're coyotes. I may be using the wrong terminology but they aren't 'howling' but rather just 'yipping' and freaking the fuck out as they do, it sounds like a whole section of the mountain is covered by them. Here's a quick clip that's dang near a perfect match of what I've been hearing off and on tonight...

I've encountered a few coyotes in the woods over the years here in PA but dang if this isn't the 1st time that the whole other side of the mountain (a couple hundred yards by my estimate) seems to be a literal Disney World for 'em.

Not sure if anyone else has had this happen by their house but my neighbor usually leaves his dog outside and he was going absolutely nuts barking at them. The coyotes were so vocal that I went over to knock on the neighbor's door for the 1st time, not because I was angry about their dog barking (although I wasn't thrilled with that either to be honest) but to ask them if they heard the coyotes (which couldn't have been far from the dog) going nuts and that I was concerned for their dog. We went out back and the neighbor said that he honestly couldn't tell the difference between other dogs and coyotes and once he heard all of the commotion and found out what they were, he thanked me and his dog became an indoor dog (at least for tonight).

This may be common hat to some here- but (as I said) this is new to me, at least in this quantity. What I find to be... IDK just strange about it all is how the coyotes can go absolutely nuts for several minutes and then... nothing. They just seem to go radio silent immediately. I give up waiting outside to listen to them and get back to doing something else and another 40 minutes or so later, I hear them again just going absolutely crazy and then... back to silence.

Is this normal coyote behavior?

SOLD WTT ZCO 5-27

I have a 5-27 MPCT2 scope that lives in my safe on my 6GT that I am looking to trade with "obvious" money on my end for two other scopes.

Either

5-25 Kahles SKMR ( 1,3 or 4 )
5-25 Minox (MR4)
Or possibly
6-36 Gen 3 Razor

I will try and post some updated pics of it after work tomorrow. This was from the last time it was out of the safe earlier this spring.

Lies endure......

Just had a friend last night bring up the Jan 6 captiol riots. He looked at me funny when I laughed and said "ya riots" while making air quotes. He tells me, I seemed to remeber two police officers with beatin to death. Then he tried doing the you're a crazy conspiracy theorist thing to me when I told him they did not.

You get to see some great examples of how reticles, parallax, Side Focus, and glass clarity come into play in this video. It’s an extension of his other video that compared 36 different scopes. He calls them IPVOs.

Notice how some thick lines get in the way when using the tree for drop.

GOP boycott in Michigan successfully ends 2 years of Dem control of House, kills dozens of Democrat nonsense bills including gun and accessory bans.

LANSING, MICHIGAN DEC 19, 2024

The final days of this year's Michigan State House legislative session ended today after a weeklong sustained boycott and filibuster by Republican delegates and one Democrat ally which resulted in the termination of two years of Democrat control, along with dozens of leftist bills that were snuffed out before they could be sent up to the second chamber for approval. The State House will restart again in January with the Republican Party in control holding a solid 58-52 majority.

Among the bills that were killed were bans on suppressors, "ghost guns", and bump stocks. Also killed were bills requiring non-cigarette pipe/cigar tobacco and electronic cigarette dealers to become licensed, which is great news for Michigan's very large nexus of industries catering to the vape, vape mod/tank building, and nicotine e-liquid making world. (Let me give a BIG shout out as well to Inline Vape in Michigan for consistent quality and service. We cloud-nuts who had been building variable wattage/voltage devices and running hot coils on salt nicotine juice since 2015 have relied on ya'll for most of the components.)

AND UP NEXT FOR 2025:
