First time in 25 years I haven’t owned a Harley

Have had a Harley as long as I can remember, more than a few over the years, my 2016 road king is now gone in a trailer to bike trader. Reasons obvious, outsourcing to Thailand, their goal of converting kids into the sex they are not, ect. The whole thing really is damn depressing. But I guess this is what they wanted when you hire a German environmentalist as the CEO of what was arguably the most American Company on the planet.

SOLD Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon 1, 20 gauge, 26.5”

Sale Pending.

If anyone else is interested, PM and I’ll let you know if this pending sale doesn't work out.

I carried this gun for one upland season. It has approximately 300 rds through it. Its in very good shape. Just doesn't fit me very well, so instead of re-stocking it, i’m going to replace it.

It has a 26.5” barrel, 3” chambers, comes with five Optima HP chokes, and the factory hard case.

This is the small action, and has the standard Beratta ergos. Gun weighs 6 lbs exactly.

There’s one blemish to the wood on the right side of the forearm(see pic). Probably a few other small marks. Metal is 100%. Action is tight, and its been 100% reliable.

These are $2500 new. $1850 shipped to your FFl. PM me if you're interested, or want more pics. No trades please.

Projection and leftist hypocracey.

Colorado democrats have a law on the ballots to open primaries to anyone regardless of political affliation because they say political insiders shouldn't be choosing candidates. 🤔

They literlly just removed the most popular president in us history based on the most fair and secure election in U.S history. The man who won every single Democrat primary. I agree candidates should not be chosen by political insiders.

Suppressors Bauer Precision...Anyone order a suppressor from them?

Has anyone ordered a suppressor from Bauer Precision in the recent past and care to share your experience? They seem to be the only shop that has the model I want currently in stock. A quick internet search found a number of complaints regarding poor customer service and long delays in shipping the suppressor to the local dealer after Form 3 approval. As in weeks to over a month delay in shipping. There are some positive reviews as well, but mostly for non-NFA items like optics, accessories, etc. Thanks!

One stock, two actions (.22 rimfire and 6.5 Creedmoor); does it exist?

Hello!

I've been gone a while. Been in a country that's not cool with foreigners having firearms, but coming back soon.

The question is: Is there a stock out there that will fit two actions? One being .22 rimfire and the other something larger like 6.5 Creedmoor, bolt guns of coarse.

Maybe that's crazy talk, but I put together a Howa action with a hodge-podge of parts thinking I would machine my own chassis. Never finished, slapped it in a cheap stock and got cheap results; 1.5 MOA on a good day. During that time, I realized I'm not into reloading, and dang .300 win mag is expensive. I'm sure I'd eventually discover what ammo it likes, but I'd rather shelf the gun for something higher precision out of the box.

I've had a little .22 Marlin they don't make anymore. It's incredibly light-weight, though not a bad gun altogether. Needs to go to someone of smaller stature.

Anyways. I like the idea of investing in a good stock, both time and money. If I could hot-swap the actions to shoot .22 and something larger, well that would be just swell. Maybe it's a thing, or not. Doesn't hurt to ask.

To lube or not to lube

So, I've searched and have not found a definitive answer. I have a dead air sandman that I use on numerous weapons. I have qd brakes on said rifles.

After extended sessions on ANY of the rifles, the suppressor almost seems welded on. Question 1: what cleaning/maintenance do I need to do to the can? Question 2: Should I lube the ratcheting portion of the can, and if so, what product should I use?

Help on first build- Origin, TL3, Kelbly, CDG, or Solus?

I have used the search function and have literally read all the posts on first builds, etc. so I'm just gonna post my thoughts on my first potential bolt action build. I have built numerous ARs in the past so I like the option of building a bolt action but just need some help from the experts. I'm looking at a 6.5 Creedmoor build. That seems to be the most well-rounded option for a first build? Rifle would be used for plinking and target practice and potentially PRS in the future.

Origin- $900 seems like the obvious answer. Probably best bang for the buck proven option available for sub $1k. The only question/concern I have on the Origin is the bolt throw of 90 degrees. I've read a 90 degree throw can sometimes bind up with the scope? Is this really an issue or am I overthinking this? I feel like I'd prefer a shorter throw but don't know any better.

TL3- $1300 this is probably what I'd prefer but it's about $400 more than the Origin. I think they are 60 degree throws? I probably don't need all the other bells and whistles and wouldn't even know the differences. Not doing any barrel swaps either.

Kelbly Prometheus- $1000 seems like a great option and can be had around $1k at Brownells at the moment. Seems Kelbly's has a good reputation and are well respected but maybe not the current darling like some others?

ARC CDG- $900 this thing looks amazing on paper but for some reason it makes me nervous at the same time. Not sure what else to say about it. LOL

Aero Solus- $700 man, talk about a polarizing brand. One minute I want to just buy the action and build around it with a good (non Aero) pre-fit barrel and chassis but it's still an Aero product at the end of the day and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. You really can't argue with the price and it's a 60 degree throw.

I really want something, at least for my first build, to be pretty plug and play. I think all the options I listed fit into that category with pre-fit barrel and chassis options. Probably looking at a Proof pre-fit with an MDT or MPA chassis and TT trigger.

Any other options I'm missing?

Thanks in advance!

Tips?

Have you all heard this utter bullshit regarding tips coming from the mouths of the presidential candidates? No tax on tips! Great say some! Ahhhh there in the devil is in the details…..This would potentially change the whole economic process of renumeration for service.
For example, let’s say I’m a plumber ( not picking on these guys, but had a well pump replaced today, and they did a fucking outstanding job!) So they come out and troubleshoot the problem, and figure I need a new pump. Gonna cost X $, but this is not a bill….wait for it….this is our TIP to replace your jacked up well pump. What do I care? Tip…bill…all the same to me …just get me some water going so I can shit again. Now, that bill is all tax free for my savior plumber, so he just made bank! Good for him …..I guess? But now my dentist bill is a tip, my doctor is a tip, my landscaper is a tip, etc etc etc. No one earns an hourly / salary any more…everyone is just “tipped”.
Some poor mfer is gonna have to make up that difference…….yea…you got it ….you and me!

Fucking politicians pandering to the massses. I expect as much from the democrats, but Trump is talking the same shit. I worked for 30 years and got fn taxed on every fn nickel, as I’m certain any of you did also. F dez political hacks and their fn pandering to the fn poors.

Change my mind

(Concluded) Hellinois rifle hunt legal caliber recommendations

new-cartridge-list-allowed-for-illinois-deer-season-v0-xfmosjhkexua1.jpg

The dumb fucks at DNR deemed that these calibers should be legal to rifle hunt deer in the shitty state of Hellinois. None of the commonly used ones because they think those rounds will hit someone or something ten miles away. Deer hunting with rifle was made legal last year and then the dumb AWB was passed right after. I used a Marlin 512 Slugster for the last two seasons but plan on using a rifle this year.

Which calibers from that list would you consider good for a whitetail deer hunt and could you recommend some nice quality rifles that are chambered in your preferred caliber?

Calling all poors, what is the most poorish shooting sports thing you've ever done?

Let me be the first to say that I am a poor. And poors do shit that makes them even poorer by not following the well established rule of "buy once, cry once."
So what project/modification/rabbit hole have you personally chased that embodies the poors ethos?

Some of my examples:

I poored (pun intended) close to $1200 on a Ruger 10/22 by slapping various Kidd upgrades on it when in fact it would have been easier and more time efficient to just shell out $$ for a Kidd Supergrade.

I made a mirage shield for my "ELR Savage rifle" out of venetian blind slats and Velcro. The turd-a-riffic concoction messed with my barrel harmonics and after the barrel heated up, the glue from the Velcro melted onto my barrel discoloring and branding it with a tenacious residue akin to the Scarlet Letter, but instead of an "A," it is a "P," a tell-tale mark of a poor.

I contemplated purchasing a Pelican case to protect my "precious," a Garmin Xero C1 and wanted to buy a Leofoto arca rail attachment to mount it to my rifle for getting reloading data, but saw the folly of this overly complex, bulky, and heavy set up when the tripod deployment is so simple and flexible in application. An overly protective case or covering is another tell-tale sign of a poor. Yes, I'm looking at you poors with OtterBox 30 megaton protection case for your phones.

What example of poor behavior are you guilty of? Bonus points for photos.

Cheers,
The Poors Commander-in-Chief

Minnesota Supreme Court “Created” Duty to Retreat From Threat of Deadly Force

On appeal, the Minnesota State Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld lower courts’ rulings that a man, threatened by an attacker holding a knife and declaring he wants to “slice his throat,” had a “duty to retreat if reasonably possible.” The courts state that Earley Romero Blevins, the potential victim, failed to retreat. Therefore, he has now become the criminal, facing 39 months in jail.

“Judicially Created”

The high court admitted that this “duty to retreat” is “a judicially created element of self-defense.” It says that it therefore applies to anyone who claims he or she was acting in self-defense by pulling out a weapon instead of running from the scene.

Said the majority in the 4-2 ruling:
