Hunting Season is Coming

IMG_0737.JPG

We have a Hunter Diagnostic coming out asap, the draft is up, here is a sneak peek at the 1 Box hunter diagnostic

RifleKraft Hunter 1 Box Diagnostic
This guide is designed to help shooters determine the maximum effective distance at which
they can reliably hit a target of a specific size. The Hunter 1 Box Diagnostic focuses on
measuring the shooter's fundamental consistency, wind reading and variability, stress, and
accounts for some ballistic uncertainty as the cone of fire extends to further distances. The
calculations presented here are not simple extrapolations from a group shot at 100 yards or
based solely on the wind conditions on the day of the test. Instead, they provide a
comprehensive approach to evaluating likely hit or miss scenarios under various
conditions.

This diagnostic tool can be particularly useful in hunting situations, where ethical
considerations are paramount. By assessing kill zone sizes for game animals and
determining an absolute maximum no-shoot distance, hunters can make more informed
decisions, reducing the risk of injuring or missing their target.

Step 1: Paper at 100 Yards
Shooting Positions and Sequence
Perform the diagnostic from the three most likely positions you anticipate using during the
hunt with the same equipment and ammunition. Follow a build-and-break sequence for
each shot to simulate hunting conditions.

Build and Break Shots: Shoot from the three most likely positions you anticipate using
during the hunt—three shots each, totaling 12 shots.

On top of this Weatherby has been supporting the site and recently we were using the Weatherby 307 in 6.5CM, but soon we'll be looking at the Alpine models for the site.

The Alpine CT https://weatherby.com/store/model-307-alpine-ct/

And the Alpine MDT which is what I like for a hunting stock

What are you doing to prepare, what caliber / cartridge will you be shooting ?

Hunting & Fishing Cellular Game Cams

I did a search and the newsest threads are from like 2020.

What do you guys recommend for cams? I got some property in WV I used to hunt as a kid, that got passed down. Its 6 hours away so we would like to set some game cams up to monitor the wildlife and anything else going up there. The top half of the property according verizons map gets LTE data.

Between all the game cams and the different plans its kind of overwhelming. Do you guys have any suggestions for reliable cams with LONG battery lives (we may only get up there once or twice a year.

Is powder valley OUTDOORS legit?

Is this a real company? https://www.powdervalley.com/
They have the same website name as the real powder valley but it's actually called powder valley outdoors. I did a web search and found some other forum threads but the people obviously have a reading compression problem. Every thread about it the OP clearly said PV Outdoors and everyone assumed they were talking about the regular powder valley.

SOLD Remington Defense Short Action “M24”

Remington 700 in 308, in HS Precision PST012 stock inlet for M5 bottom metal. Includes Badger M5 DBM and 1 Magpul mag. UPDATE - Just the BA for sale

Now, for the “M24” part. The action is a G series, with factory 8-40 scope base holes, bolt is Sandstrom Gray coated and last 4 are stamped on the bolt handle. Factory Remington M24 barrel stamped “308 WIN” with Remington proof marks. Has some finish wear. Only weird thing about the rifle is it had old school rifle sights installed by Remington. Don’t ask my why. The upside is the front screw holes are the correct position and spacing for a redfield front sight base (I have a .225 one if needed). Downside is the rear scope holes on the barrel just sit there. Cover them with a MIRS or MARS and no one will be the wiser.

$700 shipped for the Barreled Action.

SAC WTF

Buy a shellholder for my nexus press today ($40 but I'll play). Now these MFers are charging a "convenience fee"?? What are they, AT&T?

Annoyed but whatever, I pay the $2 convenience fee, AND pay extra for 2 day shipping cause I want to shoot my 6arc this weekend. AFTER I complete my order and pay, I get a notification telling me to allow 7-10 days for shipping.

I like their shit but how are you gonna charge a convenience fee, take someone's money for faster shipping, THEN tell them 7-10 days to ship a dam shellholder?

Knew I should have bought the zero 🤣

Hot weather rain gear advice

I'll be shooting a match in Kentucky this coming weekend and the weather is calling for 90 degrees and showers/rain.

I'm curious what the best recommendations are to stay dry and not sweat my ass off either. Current forecast calls for rain only in the morning so something that could be worn over my normal clothes would be ideal, but I don't mind changing either if needed.

Solyndra 2, maybe 3.

So this little gem of green energy goodness popped up in my feed today:

My favorite line:
"mistakes like this are part of the process of transitioning to renewable energy."

So I think to myself, when are they ever going to learn?"

Then fate reminds me that these fucks have no interest whatsoever in "learning."

Where do you buy Precious metals?

Been buying more silver and fractional gold recently. Have been using Jm bullion and SD bullion. Anybody else I should be looking at?

Silver I don’t really care what I buy, bars, rounds, kilo bars doesn’t matter, just looking for as close to spot as I can get.

am a bit more picky when it comes to gold, I like certain coins and bars better than others.
What’s some of your guys favorite precious to buy?

Pic of my cook island “the Rock” coin, since it’s one of my cooler coins
