How current is your training ?

So I’ve never been trained to not beat old people for look at my car . Never had to be because I’m not a sociopath. But bought would never enter my head .

But these guys are being sent to “retraining” after beating a 78 year old man until he shit himself because he looked at their car . And the city will $250,000, they will go to a training course where they will be told not to beat senior citizens for looking at things - at least while the cameras are running and all will be well and next time they will know to at least make up a crime first .

Turning necks

Several months ago I bought a Century 21 neck turning lathe, off this site.........the drill powered one.........only took off enough to make the brass shine..............shot them today, and they seemed hard to chamber..........like they didn't want to go in to the chamber..........not the bullet, but the case........new Lapua brass...........I didn't chamfer the ends before the reload..........any ideas..............shooting from an AIAT..........

Nightforce 2.5-10x24 turret defect?

I recently purchased a Nightforce 2.5-10x24 and notice that there is a gap in the reticle illumination turret and scope tube. You can see the gold plating is expose. I was wondering if this is normal. Is this a manufacturer defect?

Help: My First AR15 Rifle

Hi guys
Im in scandinavia and we are extremly limited with both rules allowing us to get ar15 as well as there is not much to chose from. But i have found 2 to chose from i just need some feedback review since i barley know nothing about ar15s.
First i stood between DI and Gas Piston.

I have decided DI is just fine as long as i clean it often and dont shoot silenced to often.

Right now it stands between these two:
1: Schmeisser Dynamic vs DD M4 V7 Pro

2: LWRC short piston & HK mr223

First two are same price while other two are same as well to eachother about 1000$ more than first choice.

I can also get some other brands like
Sig sauer, s&w, colt, springfield, radient arms, pof, faxxon, black rain, cmmg and some other.

Thanks for all help

Aaand, just in time. Wisc. Supreme Court reinstates absentee ballot drop boxes.

But no, the 2020 election wasn't stolen.

Authy hacked. Not sure how it will affect the two factor on this site.

Not sure how it affects two factor authorization here.

Twilio says hackers identified cell phone numbers of two-factor app Authy users

Last week, a hacker claimed to have stolen 33 million phone numbers from U.S. messaging giant Twilio. On Tuesday, Twilio confirmed to TechCrunch that “threat actors” were able to identify the phone number of people who use Authy, a popular two-factor authentication app owned by Twilio.

In a post on a well-known hacking forum, the hacker or hackers known as ShinyHunters wrote that they hacked Twilio and obtained the cell phone numbers of 33 million users.

Twilio spokesperson Kari Ramirez told TechCrunch that the company “has detected that threat actors were able to identify data associated with Authy accounts, including phone numbers, due to an unauthenticated endpoint. We have taken action to secure this endpoint and no longer allow unauthenticated requests.”

“We have seen no evidence that the threat actors obtained access to Twilio’s systems or other sensitive data. As a precaution, we are requesting all Authy users to update to the latest Android and iOS apps for the latest security updates and encourage all Authy users to stay diligent and have heightened awareness around phishing and smishing attacks,” Ramirez wrote in an email.

Twilio also published an alert on its official website on Monday, including the same statement.

While obtaining a list of phone numbers — on its own — may not appear to be the most dangerous of data breaches, it could still pose a threat to the owners of those numbers.

“If attackers are able to enumerate a list of user’s phone numbers, then those attackers can pretend to be Authy/Twilio to those users, increasing the believability in a phishing attack to that phone number,” Rachel Tobac, an expert in social engineering and CEO of SocialProof Security, told TechCrunch.

Sudden accuracy issues

So I'm scratching my head with this one and maybe it's self induced. This is with my XM3. The first groups it ever printed were astounding easily a 1/4 minute group with norma golden target 175gr. Since the first picture I had the flash hider loosen when trying to take the can off. Took it home and intended to torque it back in place with my barrel vice. I was missing my torque driver set so couldn't remove the barreled action from the stock or just didn't have the right hex screw. I decided to torque it down anyway. Since then it has printed groups like below. I'm starting to wonder if I damaged the bedding? I didn't see anything physically but it just has me perplexed. I thought maybe it's just me and I'm out of practice. However printed the 5 shot group in the attachments today with the LMT LM8 and I'm by no means a proficient gas gun guy.

Example A:

This was resighted with the norma in the center (horrid) and load development of 168gr TMKs over varget after remounting the flashider, Settled on 45.3gr. I since remounted and timed with the barrel in my barrel vice. Test seating depth today. Should've grouped the norma again but forgot to. The last two pics are setting depth groups I shot today.

Thinking of getting out of reloading

This is not a for sale post. I will not be listing what I have in detail. If anybody PM's me, I will not respond, I will delete it...

Ive been contemplating this for a while. Ive got "a lot" of reloading gear and components. At one point I think my primer stash was worth 15k based on then current prices...just to give an idea. I have barely shot a gun in the past 5 years out side of some random shotgun stuff I have done. I have no place currently to even setup my equipment so to even get it setup I would need to likely spend 600-800 bucks to build a decent work bench that would be presentable because it would have to go in my game room and be "out in the open" so to speak...so I cant build a cheap bench using some 2x4's and MDF like I used to have.

I thought about loading up 5k 9mm, 5k 45acp, and 5k 223 and then selling everything else, but then that pesky "no bench" thing comes up so I would likely just offload everything and then make a large order from somewhere of case lots of whatever.

The thing that ALWAYS keeps me from selling is the "what if" factor which will never change... Ive been in the reloading game since 2008ish(maybe 09) so I have seen various droughts and collapses. Everytime there is a drought I go "damn my shits worth xxxx, but if demand has sky rocketed maybe its not the right time to sell"...

I simply dont see myself with the time to touch this stuff or damn near even shoot a gun in the foreseeable future due to family and other hobbies. I dont need the money although it would likely just get funneled into my race car.

Im just in a quandary on this. I feel like I know the answer from everybody on here will be "are you fucking crazy" and "dumb fuck"...

Full length sizing after that stretch!

Hi

I am a really newbie of reloading

I have a Lee challenger Single press

And Lee rifle die set for 6.5CM

Id like to do full length sizing

But I have a big issue.

First, by using digital caliper with Hornady Headspace kit, check the number for brass that once fired ( it was Hornady 140gr 6.5CM ELDM )

And make it zero. 0.0000

Lubricant applied on brass

And as instruction that i learned or from manual, fully stroked up the Ram to touch the bottom of Full length sizing die( this is the standard point as I call). Then, check the gap between Ram and FL sizing die, no gap between.

Little bit lower down the Ram, Turn the FL sizing die 1/3 turn to down and Lock the die with Lock ring. Gently but firmly, sizing the case,

And check the length?

0.0035-> it stretched.

Gave another 1/3 turn

0.0035 same

Gave 1 full turn from the standard point

0.0035 same

2 turn

Same 0.0035

4 turn 0.0035

How should i do? Lock ring does not go up more than 4 turn.

Headspace question

Hi folks. Happy 4th. Somewhat of a novice here.

Doing a custom 6.5 creed bolt build and am using the following:

Action- Aero solus short action.
Barrel- Proof TL3/SR3 short (part #113059).

I noticed the following, using Forster gauges:
Go gauge: closes
No-Go gauge: closes (my concern)

*The aero action is supposed to be compatible with zermatt/origin prefit barrels.

Please note that I only hand tightened the barrel on when I checked. Is there a chance that it will gauge properly once torqued correctly? What’s my next step?

Much appreciated.
