SOLD Wheeler Level Set - FREE - you pay $15 shipping

Not being used - needs a new home.
Wheeler rifle and scope leveling set. It has the barrel level, action level, and plastic standard level. I lost the other level.

WARNING!! Be very careful getting a private message from someone seeking payment. There is a scam going where they make a profile very similar to the sellers - even using the same profile picture – and request payment quickly - but it’s not the seller!! If you PM me for payment information I will confirm it is me.
Don't post "I'll take it here" as that seems to invite scam payment requests - PM me with any questions or with "I'll take it"

Supresors and bad influence

Here goes, supresors are back on my radar. Got friend of mine looking to get 1. Did a quick demo of my thunderbeast and think got him hooked.finally my turn to be a bad influence. Did a quick search at silencer shop listed 34 manufacturers. That's more than just few years ago. Need to narrow it down to short list to point him in the right direction. I'm biased toward thunderbeast so that's top of the list, Need some suggestions on runners up. Will be moved around on ar and bolt guns, no full auto.300 wm and down.l This is a forever purchase so important advice to give.thanks in advance for suggestions and being a bad influence.

The beginning of the end.

Well it had to happen , Tesla started laying off workers at the Austin plant last week , and I've got two brothers that work there , one found out yesterday the he was being fired not layed off, because of a complaint that a coworker made 2 years ago, just their way of not paying severance pay I guess , that 50$ hour was nice while it lasted , I told him when he quit his job to take the Tesla job that it might not last cause the EV craze was just a fad that was bound to bust in a few years , yep right again, outta listen to your older brother sometimes , he has the benefit of having made more mistakes already, he'll be fine though , damn good mechanic and there's a huge demand for them.

Powder Suggestion for 6.5cm. Not H4350/Stabll 6.5

As some of you have seen, been really struggling with my tikka 6.5cm to get my ES of 40/45 down to the 20s. I was able to get my comp 6.5 rifle down to the high teens low 20s ES using H4350 and Lapua Brass and FL sizing

The tikka will shoot factory ELDX with an ES of 29 over 20+ shots so I know the rifle can do it. I’ve tried H4350 and Staball 6.5 with the same 40 ish ES over 10-15 shots

To keep it simple let’s assume it’s not a loading process issue (seeing as how I got the other 6.5 to low ES). Should I try some vihtavuori powder? Haven’t seen Reloader 16 locally. Temp stability is important to me as this is a hunting rifle

Federal Docs: Joe Biden’s DHS Gave Work Permit to Laken Riley’s Accused Killer Knowing He Had Criminal Record!

1713463680967.jpeg

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) approved a work permit for Jose Antonio Ibarra of Venezuela, who is accused of murdering 22-year-old Laken Riley, even after discovering he had a prior criminal history, according to federal documents detailed by Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO).

On February 22, Laken Riley went for a morning jog around the University of Georgia (UGA) campus in Athens, Georgia. Riley’s bludgeoned body was found later that day in a wooded area. The following day, Ibarra was arrested and charged with her murder.

During a Senate budget hearing on Thursday, Hawley read aloud the DHS file on Ibarra, which he said senators only recently obtained.

According to the documents that Hawley read, Ibarra was encountered at the United States-Mexico border near El Paso, Texas, on September 8, 2022. DHS officials cited “detention capacity,” according to Hawley, as the reason Ibarra was rewarded parole.

“You and I both know [lack of detention capacity] is not a valid reason [for parole] under the statute,” Hawley told DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. As Breitbart News previously reported, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data shows about 8,100 available detention beds at the time Ibarra was encountered at the border.

Biden’s expansive Catch and Release network, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) noted, purports to give parole to migrants on a “case-by-case” basis for public benefit or humanitarian reasons. Paul asked Mayorkas if detention capacity is a reason migrants are given parole, but Mayorkas said he would not comment on the case.

“Why was [Ibarra] paroled?” Paul repeatedly asked Mayorkas.

On July 19, 2023, Hawley said the DHS file states that Ibarra reported to agency officials in New York City for a biometric appointment where he was fingerprinted. The results of those fingerprints, according to the document, show Ibarra had a prior criminal history.

On September 14, 2023, Ibarra was arrested for acting in a manner that could injure a child. Despite the charge, Ibarra was not prosecuted, and the arrest was expunged.

Two months later, in November 2023, the DHS file states that Ibarra applied for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). On December 9, 2023, Hawley said the DHS file states that Ibarra’s work permit application was approved.

Less than three months after securing the work permit, Ibarra was charged with Riley’s murder.

“This is your policies in action,” Hawley told Mayorkas. “A criminal is permitted into this country on grounds flatly not permitted, flatly contradictory to the statute. He commits a crime against a child, and then he gets a work permit … then, in February, he commits the heinous crime against Laken Riley.”

Feedback SCAM ALERT!! PLEASE READ AND SHARE: SCAMMER: "Benjamin Sanchez"

5/18/24

I am sending a detailed account of a scam attempt on myself and another snipers hide member experienced this morning so pardon the lengthy post. I'm including these details to help others so they don't fall for these types of scams. It's very important you evaluate the language used. If the message is you receive seem to be non-native English speakers use caution. Also make sure you cross reference the information you receive with the information you've already sent on snipers hide. ALWAYS VERIFY!

I had a scam attempt this morning. I private messaged a member (@txbass97) last night to make a purchase. I sent him a PM with my phone number and address like I always do. BE AWARE "@txbass97" IS NOT THE SCAMMER. Don't get confused. The scammer does not have a SnipersHide handle then I'm aware of, he was using the SH member's handle to try and rip me off. @txbass97 was unaware of the scam until I spoke with him this morning.

Anyhow, I received a text this morning requesting payment from the scammer listed below asking me for shipping info, which I thought was strange since I already sent it in a PM last night (and his command of the English language seemed off) so I messaged the seller on SH and he confirmed he wasn't the one texting me. So somehow this scammer got into @txbass97 private messages (or mine) and was able to get my phone number out of the private message. Be careful, they're getting more crafty in ripping folks off. The scammer screenshot the images from the original post and texted them to me to try and fool me. Luckily I use multiple verification such as requesting first and last name, requesting pics that are not on the post and I usually like to do a phone call as well. The scammer didn't answer when I called and refused to take a call saying he was in a meeting. FYI, this post has been made with the permission of @txbass97 (the seller). Look for his feedback post as well.

Has anyone heard of scammers getting into PMs? Please let everyone know, this is the first I've heard of it.

**MODERATORS: I AM NOT REPORTING @txbass97, HE IS ALSO A VICTIM OF THIS SCAM ATTEMPT, NOT THE SCAMMER, SO PLEASE DO NOT SANCTION @txbass97.
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE ME BEFORE TAKING ACTION IF YOU'RE UNCLEAR OF THE DETAILS. BE AWARE SCAMMERS ARE MONITORING PRIVATE MESSAGING.**

I learned something about Korean conflict combat vets last weekend

Last weekend I was driving through town to drop off some mail. Its a small town with only 2 stop signs and parking on the street with a dually is not gonna work so I parked down the road that the feed store. As I am walking to drop off the mail I pass a tiny war memorial on the corner(probably 30'x30') were there are a couple of older guys sittin' there looking at the names of the locals that did not make it back. Perfect weather and they seemed happy to be there.

On the way back I said hello and struck up a conversation. Two and a half hours later I am getting texts that I was not at some place or another to open the gate for a truckload of steel pipe for fencing. So now the neighbor kid has the combo to the gate and I managed to stick around and listen to them for about another hour.

Both are in their 90's and shared a lot. One was in the artillery and the other carried a rifle. Good stories about what it was like back in the day. Hot, muggy, wet with bugs a lot of the time and wet with cold the other part. Cant keep equip clean. Hard to get parts. maybe not too much different than lots of other peoples experience.

The artillery gentleman talked about taking kerosene to clean off the cosmoline and it was so hot in the sun that they could not really touch the barrel. But clean it they did.

It struck me that these were some of the most quiet and most humble combat vets I have ever met. You know the kind....."I was just doing my job and I wanted to protect America. And I was really lucky that I made it back."

But you know what sort of killed me? Part of that conversation was along the lines of "no one ever thinks of or thanks a Korean vet."

Maybe I am guilty of that. I hope not. I kinda hope none of us are.
