Cerakote process really that “potentially bad"

Upon considering to have my optic and mount coated to match the rifle I get this sort of “push back” from applicators. They are saying the process (heating specifically) can cause issues with the optic itself. As I told one guy who was really apprehensive, I get it your process can cause a $1k+ optic to be a brick which isn’t good business.

Is this really that problematic to the optic, or more along “we just don’t like to do optics”??

Thunderbeast Company

I had lost a piece to my Bi-pod.

I had contacted them looking if I could buy just one piece or if I had to buy the pair. A Gentleman namef Sam contacted me back and said send postage and they will drop it in the mail.

I had a busy three weeks and still hadn't received it.
I happened to be traveling through Cheyenne and stopped at their office.

Sam came down and apologized said i slipped through cracks.
Not only did he make it right but I got a pullover als

Thanks Thunderbeast

Sidearms & Scatterguns Red Dot Dilemma

I guess there comes a time when we must all acknowledge the unstoppable marching of time towards being blind as fuck, I accept it.

There are a zillion damn red dots out there, a zillion mounting methods, it all looks to me like more shit to fail right when you might really really need it one day. I need a little help figuring out what to do here. My irons just arn't as sharp as they use to be and I'm sure in the next few years they will just be useless blobs out there. I wear contacts to correct my vision for distance and will be having lasik this winter.

1- I carry IWB 95% of the time, I'm also not a small man and can literally sweat through a shirt. Will an optic stand up to this daily?

2- I do run nods alot, would be cool if said red dot would work with them.

3- I have mostly glocks that I want to put optics on, my understanding is that direct milling a slide for an optic is superior to the glock MOS and plates..is this true? If so who to use for milling?

4- Irons? I'd like as uncluttered of a sight picture as possible, is a single front post and using the optic as basically a giant ghost ring if the optic dies a thing or not?

Thanks for the input amigos.

Garmin Xero C1 Chrono - Ghost shots when cycling bolt (22lr)

Attaching the chrono via the Area 419 Kit to the MDT ACC Elite Chassis utilizing the Rifle Setting and 600-1700 FPS option I’m getting an “analyzing shot” that sometimes reports a reading (without an actual shot). It’s usually between 300-500 FPS range. For what it’s worth I was alone on a square range today. Taking it off the rifle alieviated the ghost shots. Anyone else experience this?

From the range history and a pic of it mounted

Can't shoot and definitely can't run.
