When I think of Indiana, I think of “the Heartland.” It’s one of those “flyover” states that leftists despise. But what we all must understand is that America’s teachers are the vectors by which leftism is spread everywhere. They graduate from leftist colleges imbued with leftist ideas and then seed these ideas in every K-12 school in America. At East Central High School in St. Leon, Indiana, the leftist infection is so bad that the American flag was seemingly forbidden…but the kids and public pressure ended the ban on our nation’s flag in a heartland school.

Libs of TikTok made people aware of the story on Friday when she posted a scoop about what was happening at East Central High:

The parent’s narrative is horrifying, so I’ve retyped it verbatim here. I added paragraph spacing for clarity and emphasized the language I found especially notable:

Seriously, though, my son is a senior at East Central High School and also attends Southeastern Career Center. I am sure many of you have seen his truck around Bright, Sunman, Lawrenceburg, West Harrison, Versailles, and many other places in Indiana. He has a lot of friends and family around here and makes conversation with everyone. He drives his pretty awesome truck and flying high behind him the American flag, and he has done so since the beginning of the school year.


Now, with that in mind, there is I believe 50 ish days of school remaining, and just yesterday, he was pulled into the office by his counselor and vice principal to inform him per the principal at East Central High School that he has to remove the American flag.
He is a very smart and respectful young man and is very knowledgeable. He was not angry or argumentative but did let them know he would not be removing his flag. He was told that if he did not, he would be written up for insubordination.

My son pulled the school handbook up and pointed out that nowhere in the handbook does it mention the word flag or that you can not have a flag on your vehicle. He also pulled Indiana law, and it is 100% legal to fly the American flag as long as you are following safety laws, which he does.
My son asked why he had to remove the flag and was told it could be offensive to others, or it could be controversial. Well, in my opinion, if you are offended by the American flag, then leave the United States of America! If this was any other flag, would something have been said? I dont know, but we can not be offended by Freedom of Speech, and why does someone in the position that a high school principal is in think it is ok take away our freedom of speech? We will stand by our son
So, I had waited until today to post this because I needed to see how things would be handled at school. Today nearly 2 dozen high schoolers showed up to school with the American flag on their vehicles not just to support my son and their friend but to stand for what they believe in and what is right.

My son was called into the office and of course after further discussion they are now recommending its removed but school will not require him to remove it. It will remain on his truck. He was also told it will be in the student handbook next year that students cannot fly the American flag.
I am beyond proud of you Cameron Blasek and all of your friends for standing your ground. As for East Central High School I am ashamed this has even happened but again sometimes there are just people out there who try to tear others down

As you can imagine, this story instantly went viral, and the school locked down its X page. A local news outlet picked up the story:

This is 17-year-old Cameron Blasek.

He was told by East Central High School to remove the American flag from his truck.

He held the line and did not comply.

The next day, students flooded the school parking lot with cars and American flags.

Note that the school denies that it ever had an anti-flag policy because it even has a flag flying on campus. (And I must wonder how many Pride and BLM flags it has flying in its classrooms.) However, what I notice is that the school does not deny the specific narrative that Cameron Blasek related. Hmmm.
Also, that kid’s parent was right. What an absolutely amazing young man.
Please note—and this is so important—that the school now completely supports the American flag. (Although, if Cameron’s version of events is accurate, the fact that the people involved still have their jobs means that this is only a temporary victory.) Leftists will still respond to public pressure. This means that they know that, ultimately, the American people still retain power. However, when we let the reins slip through our fingers, even for a moment, the left will run wild. If we push back, they retreat. There’s a lesson there.

Conservatives are the kind of people who put their heads down and get on with their lives. They have long trusted American institutions, especially in conservative regions, where they believe that people sharing their values work in these institutions. Leftists, however, are performative. They understand that the squeaky wheel gets the grease and the shrieking wheel controls political discourse. Using those squeaks and shrieks, they have taken over institutions across America. They don’t have numbers in most places, but they do have the volume.
If we conservatives powerfully back our nation and its Constitution, laws, and traditions, we are a tremendous power. It’s time for us to act that way.

Hi everyone,

I’m pretty new to guns overall, despite bing “middle age”. I bought my first gun about 2.5 years ago.

I want to get into long range shooting, and there are sooo many different options & opinions.

I have built a couple of AR’s including a custom <4lb AR that I shoot 2-3 moa consistently from a bag with a 3x dot.

I want to build a precision rifle that can get out to 400m + and will be more capable than I am. Both as a beginner and as I grow into it.
I don’t hunt, this is primarily for range, maybe competition a couple years down the road. Mostly for fun.

1st consideration:
Caliber - I’ve been between .308 and 6.5CM. Mostly because I thought .308 would be easier to get and more cost effective.
But searching recently they look to be pretty close in price and availability.
My understanding is 6.5CM has better ballistics farther out.
Should I be considering anything else?

2nd consideration:
Action - completely overwhelmed here.
Howa 1500? Tikka T3? R700?
I’ve been eyeing a Howa M1500 with the carbon barreled action, complete rifle for a price less than the barreled action sells for.
I assume it’s the exact same barrel/ action

I can swap the chassis & trigger at some point in the future.

Barrel length - 24in?

Where are my blind spots.

Well, I had a baffle strike yesterday and obviously don't want to repeat that. How do you guys go about diagnosing the problem?

Had a 6.5CM strike on my Rex 338 modular suppressor so something is obviously off. I've shot this can on a 338 Lapua, 300 Norma, 308 Win and a few others so it's obviously in the mount or threads of the barrel. I was shooting 130's in a 8 twist 6.5 CM so bullet should have been plenty stable

FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh has been given a not-so-nice name after she said officials would try to identify firefighters that erupted in jeers on Thursday at New York Attorney General Letitia James, who previously vowed to take down former President Donald Trump.
The Daily Mail reported Saturday that Kavanagh has been labeled a “fascist pit bull” for planning to go after the first responders.
The initial incident happened Thursday as James prepared to give a speech at a New York Fire Department promotion ceremony. When she took the stage, shouting was heard and the firefighters also chanted Donald Trump’s name, the outlet said.
Video footage shows James behind a podium telling those in attendance to “simmer down” before the chant “Trump, Trump, Trump!” begins.

FDNY Chief of Department John Hodgens sent an email to department leaders warning of an impending investigation by the Bureau of Investigation and Trials (BITS) into the booing and ‘Trump’ chants directed at James.

So I already have a craddock precision rock creek ar-10 barrel on order, but might be getting a much better paying job in the near future. The first rifle is kind of more 60% field use(hunting, field matches, defensive use) 40% PRS use. If all goes well, i'm considering a build strictly for comps. Thinking about a JP LRI20 receiver set for that. If you could go to one place for the ultimate custom barrel, who would you go to?

Of course you have te typical go to's like craddock of course, GAP, proof, precision firearms, and formerly of compass lake engineering(I hear thir lead smith is still doing commercial sales)

Had a neighbor (a few miles away in very rural area) have thousands of dollars of tools stolen from his place- so decided I needed to do something on some property that is remote and often unattended. It has power and cell coverage but doesn't have internet unless going through a smartphone. It only has one way in- so that would be fairly easy to at least see who has been there. I have game cameras but they don't send pics so if they were found then the card could just be removed- and I doubt they would give much of a pic on a moving vehicle. Any recommendations on something fairly easy to set up and not a lot of maintenance. Without wifi I'm not sure what kind of system to even look at for storing the data? Any help is appreciated.
