Do my brass necks look right?

Do these brass tips look right? I just full length sized them and the tips look like the almost go in and then flare out at the top almost like its buckling but running the brass tyrough the die is smooth and not sticky and nothing feels like it shouldnt be doing that. I don't remember the brass necks being like that the last time I sized my brass. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention but I figured I'd ask what everyone else think and if they look normal or if there is something wrong. I use a redding small base fl sizing die on a forster coax I use imperial die wax for shoulder/body and dry neck lube for the neck. Everything goes smooth when I run the brass through the die and there aren't any weird things happening when sizing. I'd say I ise the correct amount of lube. This is some once fired lc brass I just ordered. If anyone could let me know if I've got something weird happening I'd be greatly appreciative.
Thanks

Get ready to pull that tin foil hat down tight. If you think the .gov had JFK killed then this will really interest you no matter how you feel about King.

His video does not have the polish of some, but in spot checking some of the things he brought up he is correct. Some of this I never knew.

SilencerCo recall notice

Heads up:

SilencerCo Recall Notice!
Stop the sale of affected suppressors immediately.

We have detected that a limited number of SilencerCo suppressors are subject to a safety recall. We urgently request your help to keep customers safe. Please read the recall requirements below and follow these steps quickly so we can obtain and repair all affected suppressors. We appreciate your understanding

Recall Issue: We have discovered a welding defect on certain suppressors that poses a safety threat to users. Weld defects may cause a catastrophic failure, creating a significant safety issue. Discontinue using potentially affected suppressors immediately until the serial number has been verified as not subject to the recall.

Recalled Products: OMEGA 300, OMEGA 36M, HYBRID 46, HARVESTER EVO, and HYBRID 46M SUPPRESSORS purchased after June 1, 2023, through October 9, 2023.

For whatever it's worth, I feel this is the upstanding way to handle a potentially serious problem. Much better than the ad hoc method of letting users suffer a field failure and then send it in for a warranty claim. I doubt this will stop the usual chorus of idiots from taking the opportunity to dog on a company they don't like, so let's sit back and wait for the thread to devolve in the usual manner.

Aero Precision Solus bolt hitting scope

I have a solus action in 6mm Creedmoor. I installed a Vortex diamondback tactical scope 6 x24 30mm tube with Vortex medium scope rings.
The bolt when removed hits the scope as it has to be tilted to the 12 oclock position to go back in..
It does not look like taller rings will help as there is that much bolt handle hitting the scope.
For proper eye relief I cannot move the scope much further up and it still looks like it will hit.
My stock is a MDT Timbe Frontier.
I dont see a way to fix this. Has anyone else ran into this problem with the solus action?
Thank you.

Firearms WTT for AI

Howdy All,

Taking a long shot here but figured I'd try anyways.

I'd like to trade my Christensen ridgeline 6.5 Creed, with 16.25" barrel sitting in either an AT 1.5 or Pre-2014 AX Folder.

AX has pic rail and Atlas, AT has spigot and Atlas. I consider adding a DMR II-i or NXS 3.5-15 to balance. Could add cash too for the right deal.

I'm looking for an AE or AT. Condition and color aren't a big deal. As long as the barrel has life I'd be interested.

This is kind of a pipe dream at the moment so I'll give it a week or two before I give it up. This rifle shoots really well, and makes for a great hunting rig. I'm kicking myself for even thinking of letting it go.

I'm looking for $3k in value for the CA+AT, and $3.2k for the CA+AX.

I'd also be interested in -

PIC HEAVY: SEEKINS SP10 6.5CM PART 2 - BORESCOPE PICS! Vs Larue Vs Wilson (Experience In Progress, It is NOT A COMPLETE REVIEW)

EDIT: This thread is not a bash against Seekins. This is NOT a complete review.
I actually have a good first impression of the SP10 rifle itself. Love the ambi-lower, the rigidity of the hand-guard etc

Yes, I cleaned the bore and the pics are posted further down.

YES, I will shoot it as soon as possible
and I will report my experience here. I have gently cleaned the barrel prior to shooting it as I have been advised. I have always shot first and cleaned after in the past.

I used a Tipton bore guide, full length carbon-shaft rod with ball bearing handle, brass fittings and copper brushes with real CLP only (so far)

It is a presentation of my findings and feelings about the whole buying/ownership experience. I have emailed Seekins and the dealer of purchase about some concerns and will post their reply here.

This is my first "gasser" large frame. I do have a large frame Larue complete lower and will soon pick up a Larue 6.5CM upper (fingers crossed for Black Friday deal) I am probably going to build a lighter weight one for higher movement hunting etc.

Not my first Rodeo: I have been shooting AR's since 1996. Building them since around early 2005. Started with a factory spec Bushmaster carbine with the old 1/9 twist barrel. Now have an MCX Virtus 16", Rattler, Tikka T3X Tac A1 6.5CM, Sig Cross 6.5CM, complete factory Larue 556/223 and several other higher end AR mfgs I built myself.

For people that have them- When did you get your SP10, what did it come with? What loads does it like and how does it group for you?

Comparing notes and Gathering info so I can ask the dealer I purchased from what's up with my configuration, but it seems I am missing the muzzle brake and some say the case may have been a swap out by the dealer.

I just got the borescope and the differences are interesting to say the least
**Seekins SP10 is factory new, not sure it is unfired though...**Impressions: looks extremely dirty, rifling not very distinct. Black streaks, greenish and whitish residue

Stolen Gun

This is a gun a friend gifted to his Son. Very special paint on it. If you are out and about or a gun show keep your eyes peeled. It sits in an original 7 Fingers aluminum chassis. It has a 7F inside a circle, there aren't many of these out there.

I would like to ask everyone to keep an eye out for a very special one of a kind handgun! It was stolen last week from a storage facility in Colorado and was a gift from me to my son Daylon when he graduated from boot camp. As you can see in the pics below it is very unique and means a great deal to him. Thanks! Please Share!

RIP

If this has been posted Ill remove it.

The U.S. says the five men were U.S. Army Special Operations aviation soldiers conducting a routine refueling flight at the time of the crash. The Pentagon identified the deceased as the following:

  • Chief Warrant Officer 3 Stephen R. Dwyer, 38, of Clarksville, Tennessee
  • Chief Warrant Officer 2 Shane M. Barnes, 34, of Sacramento, California
  • Staff Sgt. Tanner W. Grone, 26, of Gorham, New Hampshire
  • Sgt. Andrew P. Southard, 27, of Apache Junction, Arizona
  • Sgt. Cade M. Wolfe, 24, of Mankato, Minnesota

Can a pulled barrel be put back on?

Friend is selling an older 700. Has a 243 sporter barrel on it. He changed it to a remage and shot it a few times.

He's planning to sell the receiver and wants me to put the factory barrel back on (I bought the shit for remages). Would it just thread/torgue back? Or would it need to have the chamber recut? We're using the orginal recoil lug and plan to use gauges, but wsnted an answer before tearing it apart again.

308 Help

One of the great things about this forum is that a lot of times, the members have already figured out the answer to a question so I am hoping that is the case here. I have a small ranch outside of Houston. It is only 200 acres but the farmer/rancher that leases land from us estimates that he suffered $20 to $25k damage from feral pigs tearing up crops, pasture, damaging fences and other equipment. We even have two cases of livestock being injured.

What I have done about it is get some cattle dogs (1/2 Anatolian/GPD) and they do a good job keeping things away from the livestock. I have hired a trapping company that has been active but they have not done much to actually mitigate property damage. I keep an AR with me in the truck and if I see them I will shoot one or two which leads to my observations and questions. The 16" AR has about a 60% kill ratio with solid hits. It is amazing to me how some of the pigs will shrug off a 77 grain 5.56.

After speaking with some of the other land owners in the area, they recommend that I step up to 308. I would like to get a semi-auto because we have seen groups of pigs as large as fifty strong. The other thing they recommend is baiting fields and shooting them at night. I do not have NODS but the guys I have spoken with typically use a dedicated thermal scope or an optic with an inline thermal that clips on the rail in front of the primary optic.

I have an unused Sandman S as a can so it will be suppressed. I do not care if I have to go through a Form 1 procedure with the ATF. I am not looking to shoot at pigs a 1/4 mile away. This is going to be carried in the truck and grabbed quickly to take random shots or I am going to use it at night to kill as many pigs as I can on a baited trap.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

JFK Someone's finally coming forward with the truth.

The attending physicians are saying there was an entrance wound in the front of his neck...and concluding there must have been more than one shooter. No shit, that one was from the grassy knowl. The one that made his heat go UP AND BACK came from a storm sewer below and in front. Why arent they talking about that one?
