Transplant from Oregon... You don't say????

Game Wardens with Texas Parks and Wildlife arrested Ethan McNeely, a 39 year old Oregon transplant, yesterday after discovering him crouched in the woods below the dam at Lake Tawakoni attempting to hunt squirrels with nothing but his bare hands and teeth.

McNeely, who insists he’s “a primal predator, not a sportsman,” argued with officers that his “God-given claws and fangs” exempt him from needing a hunting license. “If I catch it with my molars, that’s between me and Mother Nature,” he reportedly told wardens while spitting out a mouthful of bark.

Authorities were not convinced. TPWD officials say that while McNeely’s hunting technique is unique, state law doesn’t make exceptions for “wannabe cavemen.” He was booked on charges of hunting without a license and disorderly conduct after growling at the officers.

McNeely maintains he’s being persecuted. “They can cage me,” he said, “but they’ll never cage my inner wolf!”

I think his 'inner wolf' is actually a Chihuahua with a severe crack problem. But I could be wrong!

Firearms Remington M24A2 Sniper Rifle w/ AEM M24 Suppressor

Selling my RW Snyder built Remington M24A2 Sniper Rifle and AEM M24 Suppressor, and accessories.

I purchased this back in 2024, but unfortunately a potential move for work overseas and time has made it difficult to shoot this.

It has around 200 rounds through it, all of it FGMM 7.62.

It is threaded in 5/8x-24, with a 1-10 barrel twist
M24 trigger, M24 marked receiver.
MARS 0 MOA rail
Chambered in 7.62/.308

It shoots absolutely lights out, I shot a sub-moa group and I am absolutely not a great shot by any means.

Only blemish is a small white chip of sorts near the safety selector, and some normal marks on the bolt handle and chassis from normal use.

Total package includes:

RW Synder built M24A2 w/MARS rail
AEM M24 Suppressor w/original box threaded in 5/8x24
5x AI AE MKI 5 round magazines, 4 still new in packaging
Harris S-BRM Bipod with KMW Pod-Loc installed

Will NOT come with the Nightforce ATACR scope or Sphur mount

Asking $5200 shipped for everything, will ship in a Plano Hard Case from my local FFL to yours.

I am located in Albuquerque, NM so if you are local and would like to see this in person, please message me.

If you would like to wait for the new year to arrive to save on that $200 NFA Tax Stamp, we can work out the details as well.

Willing and able to drive to surrounding states if needed.

More photos/details available on request.

Thanks for looking.

Spicy grudge race tonight between Cleetus and Grannas racing for $15k

Quick summary, FL2K was a race last weekend where some bad ass cars race the 1/4 mile at Bradenton, FL.
Grannas Racing's Supra was the #1 Qualifier with a 6.63@220 for the stick shift class but said he did not hear them announce
them call his class to race. He missed the race, he's pissed and blames Garrett Mitchell aka Cleetus Mcfarland (who makes some great videos on youtube BTW) who is a competitor in his class and part owner of the track. The grudge match is supposed to happen tonight around 4 eastern, and the internet has been going nuts with memes and shit talk. I hope it's a solid race with no BS

Accuracy International AXSR ARCA rail and scratched cerakote

What do precision rifles have in common with cars and motorcycles? Owners always want to add or upgrade things and my Accuracy International AXSR is no exception. I’ve noticed mounting the rifle in my Really Right Stuff carbon fiber tripod and Anvil 30 ballhead, the Cerakoting was rubbing off the chassis where it was clamped into the ballhead.

I sent out two dozen emails to gunsmiths and vendors looking for a solution. My thought was to mount an ARCA plate to the rifle’s chassis which had a built in ARCA rail, but the constant clamping of the rifle into the tripod ballhead was scratching the Cerakote finish from the rifle.

Gunsmiths and vendors were responding with no direct solution, so I managed to find an ARCA plate that was close, but then having to purchase four small proprietary fasteners for Accuracy Internationals keyslot mounting system. Four tiny screws cost almost a Franklin.

Why not a transparent plastic solution or tape, because it isn’t a great solution and looks tacky. Also, the anodized finish is more durable than Cerakote.

If you’re persistent enough you’ll eventually succeed. Matt Yore of Sawtooth Rifles responded just after I ordered my workaround solution with a part that is exactly what I was looking for. He makes an ARCA rail that fits perfectly on my AI AXSR rifle with his ARCA rail coming with the necessary proprietary fasteners. The parts are being finished and sent out to be anodized, I’ve asked if I can get “Sage Green” to match my rifle.

So, like my motorcycle and car enthusiasts, I’ll have a few more things to add to my shelf of ideas that were close or sounded good at the time, but looking forward to getting the perfect part. Matt’s ARCA rail also has stops to prevent the rifle from sliding out of the tripod mount, cool!
