SOLD Manners PRS1-T - Price drop

I've got a supposedly used (never by me) Manners PRS1-T in altus badlands camo with a SAP 2 round holder. I bought on here a while back with the intention of using it but ended up trying something else instead. Barrel inlet is MTU and action is remington 700 SA.
Lemme know if you have any questions.

Blood Trails and the 6.5 Creedmoor. Your Experience?

In a perfect world, we squeeze the trigger and our game drops instantly, but that doesn't always happen. My 2 go to cartridges have always been the .308 Win and .270 WSM and I've never had a problem with either of these. So 3 seasons ago, I bought my son a Remington 700 in 6.5 Creedmoor and we're still both on the fence as to how good of a deer round it is. We typically hunt creek bottoms and hardwoods, so if a deer runs, a blood trail becomes a necessity. He's now harvested 3 bucks using 2 different bullets with the same result on perfect broadside shots, little to no blood trail. The bullets used so far are the Berger 135 Classic Hunter and a Sierra 140 GK. Luckily, none of the deer have gone very far and all have been recovered but, this definitely doesn't inspire confidence.

Coincidentally, a few of the guys at our hunting camp have been complaining about the same thing, phenomenal accuracy, but little to no blood. So I'm curious as to what you're experience has been with the 6.5 on game and if there's another bullet out there that I should be trying. Thanks.

Proof Research gas ports undersized?

Curious if anyone running Proof barrels on their gas guns have run into the gas ports being undersized. So far I'm 2/2.

I purchased a Proof stainless steel 24" 6.5 Creedmoor barrel for my large frame AR with a +2 camgas system. Out of the box, accuracy was amazing but it wouldn't lock back on last round. Typically I align my gas block by putting in a borescope and visually confirming that the port is aligned with the gas block. After quite a bit of trouble shooting buffers and such I sent it out to a buddy that's a gunsmith to open up the gas port. Problem solved. Took it out to the range today and it ran flawlessly and maintained the accuracy from before.

In the mean time, I had also purchased a second stainless Proof barrel that was an 18-inch 223 Wylde with a rifle length gas system. Lined up the AGB with borescope and brought it to the range with me today. It would cycle, but wouldn't lock back on last round. Checked again when I got home with the borescope and it lined up. Seems this barrel needs to have the gas port opened up as well.

Anyone else see this issue with Proof AR barrels or is it just me doing something wrong?

Here's a video clip of the borescope footage:

Firearms GAP-10 trade for scope

Looking to trade my GAP-10 for a scope. It's a 308, all FDE, Bartlien 22" Fluted barrel. Excellent condition. Roughly 600 rounds fired. Noveske switchblock, geissele trigger, surefire brake. Scary accurate. Can come with or without the Vortex Razor 5-20 EBR-3 mil scope.

Looking for a ZCO, Razor gen 3, S&B, ATACR or other scopes in that category. Possibly a Leupold MK5 or NX8 + cash.

I have a GAP-15 on the way that I need glass for, decided to sell the GAP-10 for that.20220625_205759.jpg20220625_205810.jpg20220625_205833.jpg

Short action specifically: 6.5 SAUM, PRC, or SS?

Hey guys,

I just thought I’d check the temperature and get opinions here. I did search some other threads with some success, but haven’t found quite what I’m looking for.

I have a defiance medium ultralight action/ Mag BF. I just picked up a 24” Bartlein 6.5 blank (7.5t). I’m trying to settle on the best cartridge for my setup and needs. My goal is to build a long range hunting setup and I may do some non-PRS comp’s. I don’t believe I would shoot past 1200-1300 yards with this setup. Based on my setup I believe I’m limited to a COAL of 2.950ish. I do hand load and would likely never buy factory ammo.

Three cartridges that come to mind for me are the PRC, SAUM, and Sherman Short. I’m not AS worried about the 100~ fps difference between them, I’m much more worried about feeding and bullet selection.

With the PRC I love the industry support. But it does seem I am realistically stuck with 140gr class of bullets due to COAL restrictions. Maybe that’s not a huge deal? I am just attracted to the high BC of 150g+ pills.

With the SAUM it looks like I MIGHT be able to run 156 EOL’s with certain sacrifice to case capacity (any experience out there?)I do have a set of Redding bushing dies for this cartridge as well as lesser desirable brass. Realistically I would still be purchasing ADG when available. It is a little bit of a Debbie downer that brass isn’t readily available.

The Sherman Short looks like a great option with having a shorter case with longer neck. I picture running longer bullets being much easier due to the case. My concern is potentially needing to push higher pressure to ballistically compete? At $2+ per case I’m not too excited about the idea of getting 2-4 loadings before toasting brass. Also a Debbie downer with brass being incrementally available.

I would greatly appreciate some insight here, especially from first hand experience. Thank you in advance guys.

Abortion is the idiots dog whistle.

Why don’t we talk about having our sons have this done when they come of age, this eliminates the need for abortion, the whole damn topic, fixes MANY issues in our society, is easily reversed when they want to have a kid, also costs under $5 and lasts years.

Oh right, because we need the blue and red idiots to fight each other over something that could be a non issue across the board.

Not to the benifit for pharma and their BS birth control they sell for MUCH more

Bad for the gov and corp who need a steady supply of stupid people to work at Walmart, and bad for politicians who need a supply of cannon fodder

If you let this ruling take ANY attention from the people who should be hanged Nurenberg style for destroying the world during “Covid”, from the people crashing economies and lives with their fiat money and overtime running money printers, money laundering BS human trafficking combloc Ukraine shinagans, and constant attacks on our individual liberties, you are behind the 8 ball my friend

Village Idiot Suggestions

I will preface this... I would like some "Forward Looking" comments.
I was told by one of my upstanding local Sheriff's Deputies "we are living in changing times". He was very businesslike and represented his department well. Actually a K-9 unit.

Every neighborhood / community has one "Village Idiot". IDK if it's a person who just wants to piss off the residents. A guy who does not realize he is pissing people off. Or a guy who wants to incubate a "reverse call" to the local LEO because someone complained about his activities.

To date, there is no law, statue or covenant against his activities. No noise ordinance in the county. He's the guy who, at 2 am decides to go out and check the non-suppressed coyote rifle using his new NOG's. The guy who just finished the rebuild on his Harley with drag pipes and needs to run through the hood just as your wife with a migraine dozed off at 11 pm..... The guy who likes to lay rubber at the nearest stop sign at 5 am just to show the neighborhood he has a job and goes to work early.... You know, "that guy".

Changing Times - No, you can't pepper his tailgate, pour sugar in his gas tank. He has more rights than you.

Suppressors Tax stamp / paperwork - traveling with my suppressor question

What am I legally required to carry with me when I have my suppressor? Do I need have keep a copy of the paperwork / tax stamp with me at all times when I have the suppressor with me?

Are there any potential legal issues traveling out of state with a suppressor?

I just picked up my first cans and never looked into this.

Thank you.

Anyone hunt with 6mm creedmoor?

I’m wanting to get my son a 6mm creedmoor for long range targets and whitetail deer.
Has anyone taken deer with one? What ammo did you use and how did it perform?
I know the cartridge is plenty adequate for deer. His hunting shots will be under 200 yards. Most will be under 100 yards.
My main concern is penetration and blood trails. We hunt in very thick brush. Without a blood trail it’s nearly impossible to find them.

SOLD WTS: HK SP5, BNIB, $3200 delivered to your FFL

Brand new in box, unfired. Factory new with all accessories. Price is $3200 delivered to FFL of your choice. Will ship from FFL to FFL. Due to WA state mag limits, I'm only wanting to sell this outside of WA state.

Not looking for any trades and the price is firm on it. It costs my FFL $100 to ship with full insurance even using USPS Priority Mail, and I paid $3270 MSRP, so $3200 is lowest I'll go.

The pen didn't stand out too well in the pics but if you zoom in a bit you can see my username on there.
