Steiner STR MIL reticle

I am looking for drawings of the Steiner STR MIL reticle showing subtension, line thickness in mils, etc. I cannot find it anywhere on the web and the current Steiner Reticle Guide (https://www.steiner-optics.com/resources/reticle-guide) does not include this reticle. This reticle is available in the H6Xi line of scopes and if there is a drawing floating out there I sure can't find it. Does anyone have this that they can share? Thanks!

Do Pretty Groups Mean Anything?

I guess this is a general question, but it involves a rimfire, so here I am.

I got myself a new T1x, and I am testing types of ammunition at short range. I am zeroing at 35 yards, and I will be moving out to 50 yards once I have favorites. The final goal is to kill squirrels.

I shot several types of ammo the other day at 35, and while an Eley product came in with the smallest groups (0.468"), cheap CCI Blazers shot prettier groups (0.555"). Each group was one nice round hole. The Eley groups were irregular.

Should a shooter conclude anything from the fact that one brand of ammunition shoots nice, round, symmetrical groups?

I was pretty surprised by the Blazers. I also shot CCI Sub-Sonics, and I got a nasty flyer I'm pretty sure I didn't cause.

ATF pretends US Supreme Court is braindead and declares 10-20 million gun owners felons instantly

ATF not giving up until the last minute:

Note to noob gun owners, DON"T WRITE QUESTIONS TO ATF!

What a lying sack of shit... KJP claims Biden solved Hostages...

Listening to that lying sack of shit toilet brush...

"Biden has been working 24 x 7 to bring hostages home..." "This is his plan laid out in May." "Biden did this, Donald Trump had nothing to do with it."

This is the same lying sack of shit who says "Biden pretty much retires by 7 pm..." Yeah, 24 x 7.

Damn I can't wait for next week.. so we never have to see that dumb-ass brillo pad lying her ass off... ever again.

Disappointed Dana!

Dana Loesch was discussing the confirmation hearings of Pam Bondi. Basically, she stated that she like what she saw of Bondi's performance, but that she wished at least one GOP Senator would quiz her on her support for Red-Flag laws and her work with Rick Scott on that same issue. She advertised that her "2nd hour" would be an interview with Gov. Ron DeSantis and that she would inquire with him about the state of red Flag laws in Florida.

Well, the interview came and went and not a peep about Red-flag laws. She asked several generic questions about the border and Sanctuary Cities, etc. and just let let him bloviate about that for about 20 minutes. Narry an inquire about Red flag laws.... none at all.

I wonder what happened. Was she "advised" by producers not to bring it up with DeSantis (more than iikely his people not hers)? This tells me that the resistance to Red-flag law elimination is greater than originally thought. I hope that's not the case and we get something done before DeSantis leaves office, but I'm starting to get discouraged. Why didn't you follow through Dana and ask him???? Disappointed!

We need to start primarying some of these "alfa hotels..."

MPVO for Tactical Games Thoughts/Recommendations

I do Tactical Games competitions and the furthest we've shot out to is about 600 yards. A lot of guys are starting to go with a 3-18 type scope (something like Mk 5 HD) and offset red dot. We will typically have one to two stages where we shoot out to distance 200 - 600. Most distances on other stages are from 50-100 yards for rifle. Precision is paramount in these comps. Every miss is a 10 sec penalty in the workouts/stages.

I typically use a Nightforce ATACR 1-8 and it's a great scope (obviously) and has serviced me well but I don't know too much about the MPVO options out there. Since we are shooting 600 yards would a simple reticle be better (non-Christmas tree type)? Illuminated? 2-12 or 3-18? What's lowest magnification range on both ends you guys would look at? I don't want to get anything that has too much magnification. I would also be using an offset red dot for closer range targets.

I've heard general rule these days is 2x for every 100 yards so a 2-12 might be good but is that going to be much better than my ATACR 1-8? Would I still need an offset red dot for a 2-12 (never looked through one before). I figure a 3-15/18 type scope with offset red dot would probably be best option if I decide to go this route to take advantage of the MPVO type platform.

Any good suggestions and/or thoughts? I've looked at NXS, Vortex, Steiner, Leuopold, etc. I don't want to break the bank but maybe $1000-$1500 range. If I can sell my NX8 maybe higher.

Thanks!
