I’ve got a rifle that’s got a few surface rust spots. I’d like to rattle can paint it because I don’t have any equipment to do anything more. I also have to paint the barrel so Aluma-Hyde II is out (only 300*f rated).
What’s the best option for a durable rust resistant option?

This one has me stumped.

A friend asked me to stop by and find wall studs. I grabbed a magnet and stopped by.

SOME seems have screws (or nails) holding the drywall. The rest has no metal anywhere.

Can someone enlighten me on this one?

Apologize I know this gets talked about a bunch but things change and I like to get opinions. I’m looking for a light NRL hunter longer range hunting scope. I’m running the 5-25 mark 5 and its pretty decent , field of view is kinda meh and the turrets aren’t my favorite. I have a 4-16 ATACR but want a little more mag if possible and the reticle gets a bit thick at top end.

Looking for something under 35oz’s closer to 30 is better
20x or better would be great
Great glass and great turrets
Best possible field of view
Needs to work with LH action
Illumination preferred but not a deal breaker
Sub 4k

I know I basically just listed all the available options lol - but I wanted to see what you guys thought. Light bolt lift, 60 degree throw, are very important to me, as well as overall build quality and precision, though that will most likely come down to who chambers the barrel I thought.

Purpose of rifle is to compete with, but I want to stay under 25 pounds and don't want to build a benchrest rifle.

Banish Backcountry can, Tikka 6.5 CM, 41.5 grains H4350 143 ELDX, shot this load for 2000 rounds on this bore. Tight primer pockets no pierced primers.

I occasionally get a dirty case head and my bolt face gets really dirty when shooting a string suppressed. Is this caused by a dirty can?

Selling my manners eh1 for a rem 700 sa. It has been fully pillar bedded for a thick recoil lug but any good smith can open it up for any 700 short just about. Contoured for a proof sendero and comes with flush cups, a 419 mini arca, a front pic rail, and a savage threadworks stock pack. Also coming with full hawkins dbm. Hello everyone,
unfortunately life circumstance is requiring me to sell this rifle. I have an Accuracy International AT-LE, it was purchased from milehighshooting and was on the first shipment of AT-LEs to come to the states when they released. This specific one is serialized with a 2018 AT action. With that said, they never engraved it as an AT-LE, I don't think that came until a little bit later but whatever, it's an AT with an AX folding stock added from the factory. With it I have a Vortex Razor HD AMG 6-24x50 mounted with a spuhr 3602, on top of the AI high pic-rail. The heights were set up that way to throw on a bridge and run a pvs-30. This will not come with the bridge.
Additionally, I will add the Atlas CAL bipod with a RRS arca rail as seen in the pictures. It has the original AI 20" 308 barrel, and a proof research 24" stainless 6mm creedmoor barrel. The 308 barrel has around 600 rounds on it, and the 6 creed barrel has approximately 700 rounds on it. Admittedly I didn't keep the best track of how many rounds are on the barrels so those are just approximations. I had other 6mil and 308 barrels I practiced with which is the reason for the lower round counts on these ones. I'm wanting to sell this as a full package priced at $7000. I'm not in a hurry to sell, and if circumstances change before finding a suitable buyer I'll remove the post and not sell it.

This popped up in YT. I am not sure I fully agree that it is surrendering of the 4th Amendment, per se.

The 4th Amendment is protection against unreasonable searches and seizures. But it is not a shield against all searches and seizures. For example, a warrant with cause or evidence is seen as lawful search. For example, a pedo is suspected of having materials and others have testified or stated that he has such things. So, the cops apply for and secure a warrant. They serve the warrant and find incriminating evidence and are able to arrest the suspect on charges based on the evidence found in the search and was seized by the police.

So, of you a case that is obviously to most a gun case, especially with stickers on it from your favorite suppliers and brands, it is easy to infer that it is a firearm. People put guns in guitar cases but not often the converse.

Police may seize and search a container that seems to very much be a gun case, if looking for a certain firearm. Why they are looking for the gun us not explained here.

And one case he quotes tells of a guy who has a sawed off shot gun but it was in a container that was not readily seen as a gun case. The cop said it was and the cop was wrong and the search was thrown out.

So, reasonable and unreasonable would be the point of the debate. I included the example of the pedo because we want those guys caught and you have to do it be seizing evidence.

I was shooting some factory 300 blackout today. Winchester 125 grain jhps to be specific. I felt something smack me in the shooting glasses and could not figure out what it was. I gave up when I could not find anything. The casing looked fine and everhthijg functioned correctly. I fired another round and the rifle did not cycle....weird so I pulled the charging handle and ejected the casing. All looked fine, so I pulled the rifle apart and found that the damn adjustment screw from my JP D2 gas block had blown off!! No clue where it went but it left a heckuva scratch in my lense.
