Rifle Scopes Zeiss LRP S3 6-36x56 MRAD FFP or Bushnell XRS3 6-36X56 G4 reticle for PRS?

FNG here, so bear with me. Does anyone have real world experience with one, the other or preferably both? These will go on a 6GT PRS gun and a .223 AI PRS trainer, backup, rarely varmint rifle. FWIW, I currently run a ZEISS LRP S3 4-25x56 in MOA for PRS and Bushnell Match Pro 6-24x50 for base class NRL22. l like both just fine, but I do want to switch from MOA to MRAD for PRS. For the sake of simplicity, please don't bother mentioning any other scopes in this thread. Thanks in advance for your inputs. Pictures for attention.

Firearms AI 338LM For Sale

I have decided to sell my Accuracy International 338LM AWSM. Included in the sale is a S&B P&M II (PM4 Reticle), an extra set of furniture, Atlas Bipod, Suppressed Armament 338 Suppressor, Eagle Drag Bag, 2 magazines, Redding Dies (bent extractor), 200 rounds of Prime 338LM Ammo (Unopened), and Lapua brand brass (Opened but unused). Price is $16,800. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and insurance costs. Transfer will be done from FFL to FFL. I reserve the right to reject any buyer for any reason.

Why am I selling? I bought this about 8 years ago and planned to go to Arizona to train with it. Back then I had trained under Lowlight and wanted to up my game. Not long after, I went thru a nasty divorce that really limited my shooting. I am now 66 and I need to thin the heard.

What genius gets hired for this stuff?

This is a legitimate question from Idaho's current white tail deer hunting survey.

Screenshot_20240911-005047_Edge.jpg

Would seeing white tail deer be anything other than ABSOLUTELY VITAL to white tail deer hunting?

These morons are the same ones in charge of the "conservation" of our game animals. They are the same ones who think the wolf reintroduction is "going well".

Damn mouth breathers.

Defiance 40% off

Heads up, Defiance is having a 40% off sale on their actions with their "old" logo - guess they've changed their logo?

Anyways, some good deals for those looking.

SOLD Leupold MK4HD 2.5-10x40 FFP TMR MIL

*SALE PENDING*

Selling a like new MK4HD 2.5-10x40 FFP TMR MIL scope. It was on an SPR briefly but decided it’s not as much magnification as I’d like and I don’t want to be deprived of a tree reticle so it got replaced with an Athlon Helos as terrible as it sounds.

The elevation turret on this one lines up perfectly when locked. I know that’s been a concern on some of them that have been way off recently. The little specs you see on it in the pics is just dust. For whatever reason the flat matte finish on MK4’s and MK5’s are dust magnets.

Scope will come with original box and everything as if it were purchased new. The Geissele mount and Reptilia cap are not included but I’d sell them with it for an additional $350.

$825 shipped gets the scope or $1175 with the mount. Payment via Zelle or Venmo.

The only trade I’d be interested in would be an origin short action with ARC bolt head in new/like new condition.

Bell 47G - Transfer of Power???

For those of you that may have some familiarity with classic Helicopters, I have a question. Re: the Bell 47 (any of the series but "G" in particular - the one featured in the M*A*S*H TV Show), I am aware that it was powered by an internal combustion engine. But how did the torque produced by that engine transfer to the rotor group? For most modern day helicopters (and, including some of the classic Viet-Nam era choppers like the UH-1H Huey), they were Turboshaft Jet Engines where the compressed air produced by the engine feeds the main shaft. For the 47G, I can't imagine a "direct gear" assembly (even with a reduction gear). Perhaps the engine fed a hydraulic pump which, in turn, fed the rotor group?

Just curious....

Mike R,

The psychocide of Pitești is the distilled essence of communism - John Carter

A horrifying glimpse into the depths of what communists will do to those that resist communism.
IMG_9059.png

“What it lacked in scale and duration, Pitești more than made up in psychological sadism. It plumbed infernal depths that I have never encountered elsewhere in the history of mankind. The communists sought not merely to break the bodies of their subjects. Nor was their goal only to shatter their minds. Their objective was to smash men’s souls, to strip them of absolutely everything – faith, nation, family, will, self-respect, identity – that made them individual human beings. They sought to scratch out the Imago Dei.

When you think of communism, don’t think of bread lines, famines, anemic economic growth, clunky consumer goods, or ugly buildings built with substandard concrete. Don’t think of fucking statistics.

Think of Pitești.

Pitești reveals the spiritual essence of communism in is purest, most distilled form.”
