Chapo's son kidnapped Mayo Zambada

Surprised no one is talking about this..

The biggest drug lord since Escobar gets "tricked" into a 1-way trip to gringolandia by his own godson, and son of his former partner/co-founder of the Sinaloa Cartel, Joaquin Guzman Loera 'El Chapo', who is the father of Joaquin Guzman Lopez(Mayos godson that kidnapped him).

Craziest story in the drug world so far this century, by a long shot. Details are still super murky. Three-four different stories/versions are currently floating around.

But the one that keeps popping up the most, and has been apparently verified by Mayo himself in a letter communicated through his lawyer, is that Joaquin Jr was essentially acting as a US Agent(presumably to get a sweet plea deal for himself and help his brother Ovidio as well, who was extradited last year & awaiting trial).

@Skunk please tell me you got some insight dude this is some incredulous shit 😳
I follow this drug war thing intently... And a month ago, id have bet half my life savings that old dinosaur would die comfortably in his bed surrounded by friends and family. 50+ years at the very tip top of the narco world, never seen a jail cell once. Many thought he was already dead...

I don't even know how to begin to wrap my head around this one or even any input really aside from absolute astonishment. If there's anyone I thought NEVER would be caught, it'd be "king" Zambada. His sister Modesta is married to a fckn CIA agent/asset that we used quite a bit in our Cuban and Nicaraguan shenanigans.

The only input I really have to add here is there is some shaky/sketchy precedent for this not working in the DOJ's favor.
Dr. Machain, the doctor who kept Kiki Camarena alive so that the narcos & DFS agents could torture him longer, was also extrajudicially kidnapped(by an undercover DEA agent). And they ultimately had to set him free because of that...

\/\/\/ - very loosely adapted/dramatized.. but still an absolutely EXCELLENT show!
But yes .. that Doctor? He's a free man. They let him go once he started making all that noise about kidnapping.. so we'll see how this plays out.

But I doubt DOJ is letting go of Mayo under any circumstances. He's literally the MOST POWERFUL kingpin in the world currently. Basically the last of the old guard that was still free. Only one left now(of the old school major big league bosses) is Chapos brother Aureliano 'El Guano' Guzman Loera.
This is serious high level shit. Old man Zambada kept a certain peace and order in the narco world(at least in his plazas/areas of control). And has dirt on 4 decades or more of the highest levels of .gov on BOTH sides of the border.

A strong bet would be they'll give him an offer he can't refuse, to testify against the entire corrupt political machine of Mx, in order to give justification to put US boots on the ground in Mexico proper... To give us another unwinnable money pit "war"....

SOLD Manners TCS Copperhead

Selling my manners TCS. Mag catch has been modified to feed AW’s and had no issues with my impact action for the last 9 months or so. Should still work with AICS’s but I cannot promise anything as I never ran them. However manners can get you another mag catch in the event that they don’t feed properly.

That being said, stock comes with the 2 round holder, cheek pad, rear buttstock weight, and I believe I have all but one or two of the arca rail weights in there as well. Super awesome stock, but not pursuing PRS as heavily any more. Has the sikes rail and the little knob deal too.

Asking 1450 shipped PayPal f&f preferred.

Battle of the Savage 110s

I’m looking to do a budget precision build and I am looking at two different flavors of Savage 110s, the Tactical and the Trail Hunter, but I’m not sure which to do, both seem to have advantages and disadvantages.

The Trail Hunter has a heavier barrel, and I like that, and I like the jeweling they did on the bolt, I know it doesn’t really do anything, but I like the look. But it does not take useful magazines (I define useful has 5 rounds and up, and typically AICS, if Mauser could do a 5 round magazine in the 19th century I will accept nothing less in the 21st century), the stock is non adjustable and kind of cheap looking, and I would need to add a scope rail and a different bolt handle. It is also $200 cheaper.

The Tactical has the right scope rail and bolt handle out of the box and takes real magazines, and the stock is adjustable (sort of) and I think the barrel is 2 inches longer, however it is also a thinner barrel, which I don't like, but it’s fluted and I like fluted. But it does not have the jeweled bolt and I really don’t like skinny hunting profile barrels, fluted or not, and while it’s decently accurate the reviews I have seen are not as glowing about it’s accuracy as they are with the Trail Hunter. It is also $200 more.

In the case of the Trail hunter I would have to get a chassis, the included stock is very flimsy and does not take real magazines and it is not adjustable. The Tactical has a much better stock and is set up for real magazines and it can be adjusted but I hate that style of adjustment, it seems very very old fashioned to me and can’t be done on the fly, ARs have had adjustable stocks for decades now and the modern ones are available with cheek risers too and for not much money, how is it that bolt guns seem to almost all be so behind and adjustable stocks cost more than most entry level rifles? Ultimately it would probably be replaced with a chassis too but it could wait a while, while the Trail Hunter I would consider unusable without it
(Magazines).

TLDR version:

Trail Hunter: $200 cheaper but needs about $100 in upgrades plus a chassis because the stock/magazines are horrible. Really good barrel though. Pretty bolt.

Tactical: More expensive but ready to use out of the box, and has a less crappy stock, I would still want a chassis but it could wait a bit. But the barrel is not as good and the bolt is ugly.

Basically I think the Trail Hunter is the better barreled action, but that’s all that it is, the stock is garbage, but the Tactical is usable out of the box but has a questionable barrel. The Trail Hunter is $200 cheaper but that comes down to only $100 cheaper after adding the scope rail and changing the bolt handle.

So which would you pick and why?

Howa or Savage

Looking to put together a range toy bolt gun in .223. Primary use of the rifle will be to just have some fun at the range and in the reloading room. Will also be used to introduce new shooters to precision style rifle shooting. Admittedly, I’m a Tikka fan but finding anything in .223 with more than a 3-4 round magazine is virtually nonexistent. With that, I’m looking at picking up a Howa Mini Action from Brownells and dropping it in a chassis (Oryx or XRS). I recently came across the Savage Axis II Precision which essentially comes in an Oryx chassis from Savage. Price is close enough to not matter.

Which would you choose and why? Looking to stay at or under $1000 for the rifle/chassis so if you have other ideas that fit that criteria, please feel free to share those.

Thanks in advance!

And pls ease please make sure you have the correct wrist band on or this guy will beat the fuck out of you - and illegally detain and arrest you.
And it’ll only take 2 months for him to be fired .

And when “backup” arrived they just went along with his phycological delusional violent rampage - cause gang affiliation and all .

Which Ckye-Pod???

Currently running an Atlas Super Cal with RRS SOAR lever and it's a great piece of kit but I've ran into a couple stages where guys with CYKE-Pods could adjust the legs narrower and get into a solid position the Atlas wouldn't fit and I'd have to use a positional bag.

Question is for strictly PRS what version do you guys think is best?? I'm strongly leaning towards the Gen 2 double pull with the RRS SOAR lever.

Lone Peak Arms Bolt wear

Hi guys,

I got a question for the hide - I got a new Lone Peak Arms Fuzion action with a Bartlein barrel. Yesterday I installed the action in an also new McMillan A3-5 stock with a new Hawkins Precision M5 DBM.

The rifle is chambered in 6mm BR Norma.

After everything has been assembled I wanted to test the correct feeding out of a new MDT 6BR 10 round magazine. Therefore I used two dummy rounds and cycled the bolt multiple times with those rounds. Feeding was without any issues - so far so good…

Afterwards I took out the bolt to do a final clean and recognised that the bolt has now some wear on it (see pictures). It seems that the after pushing the first round into the chamber the second one in the magazine is pushed onto the bolt body which causes one long scratch on the bolt. For your info: I’m running the bolt dry.

Does anyone of you have know this is issue? Is this normal or what is the cause? Spring pressure of the magazine? Length of the action screws? Length of the DBM latch?

How do I prevent this?

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards

Fabian
