What can cause accuracy to fall apart at 700 yards?

So before anyone asks, yes I know how to drive a semi and specifically a large frame. I’ve been doing it with great success for 20+ years. I rebarreled said rifle about two years ago with a LW 1/10, I really didn’t get a chance to get behind the rifle a lot because of work. I retired last year but took on another full time job. I had to go through all of their hoops and such for the first year. Now the dust has settled and I have been able to get to the range.

The first time I noticed this issue was about two months ago, I was banging steel from 100-600 yards easily. As soon as I went out to 700 the bullets just danced around the targets. I kinda chalked it up to forgetting my rear bag but deep down I thought I was pretty stable and shouldn’t have missed that much. I went out again last week and this time I brought the bag. I was shot several groups in the .7s at 100/200/300 yards. At 400/500/600 I was shooting steel. 100% hits. As soon as I went out to 700 the bullets just danced around the targets and never hit steel. I checked the scope and its tracking, the rings and mount is tight. The barrel has been bedded into the receiver.

so I am truly puzzled by this. Has anyone else seen this before?

The jury instructions in the Trump case are simply insane

I’ve seen more than a few jury instructions, I’ve never seen or heard anything like this. The judge instructed the jurors they don’t have to agree on what crime was committed, but if they all believe a crime was committed real or imagined then that would be guilty. So all 12 jurors can say he’s guilty of 12 different crimes, but that will be treated as a unanimous verdict. This trial has already set the record for the number of reversible errors, so I think the judge basically said what the hell, it’s going to get reversed anyway why not make sure the headline is convicted. I would also love to know how through a system of random case assignment how one judge managed to get randomly assigned to 3 cases so far involving Trump directly or a former Trump advisor being charged, this judge will be handling the Steve Bannon case as well.

If “Build Back Better” was a pier

Apparently the A-Rabs are all taking selfies and laughing their asses off as the pier floats away the the tide…

Bah hahahhha….

God help us if we have to fight a war. Our military will get crushed like Kasserine Pass!

SOLD Remington 700 223 VSSF $800 Shipped

Remington 700 223 VSSF

Model with the earlier HS precision stock.

Has Area 419 bipod rail & EGW 20 MOA base installed. I’m the second owner, have put about 50 rounds of 40gr Nosler ballistic tips through it. Shot great.

Can also include a KRG bolt on bolt knob. It worked surprisingly well with it.

Thanks for looking

Kirby

Which 2-10 for me?

I accidentally posted this in the Bolt gun forum.

I would be curious to get the glass hiveminds pointing view

I have a mini-fix in 556. 16” barrel.

Planning on leaving it that way until a 6max barrel is hopefully made available. Will be running unsupressed. Planning on using it as a utility gun as designed. Truck gun for random coyotes, thrown in the tractor when helping my Uncle hay his fields this summer. Ranges 300 and under.

Currently I have a sightron s-tac 3-16 on it. For the money the scope is great but it’s a little long/ big on a tiny gun. (see pic below)

I’m thinking a 2-10 would be perfect for the role. Not impressed with any of the 1-10 options, they all appear to be decent 1-8’s but after that the eye box is terrible.

At 10x Im not overly concerned about sfp vs FFP.

Since they are running about the same price point, would you go NF 2.5-10 NXS, or the Leupold Mark 5 2-10? I would prefer AO.

I was looking at the Steiner hx6i 2-12 but I want a simple reticle with mils. For this gun I don’t need a Christmas tree to clutter.

Both are in the same size and weight range. Both are American companies, I have had good luck with both companies. I greatly prefer to stay away from Chinese optics, no matter how great the Helos is.

I’m not looking to add a ton of weight to a very light weight utility rifle. I just want a rugged, clear, high quality piece of glass..that’s smaller than the stac at 13 inches long, and 24 oz.

Thoughts from people that may have experience with both?

Seems Numbers & Dead Hand stations are increasing

While most know the reasons behind these types of stations, they seem to be on the increase now. A few digital ones have been detected deep & weak within, skeg'ed net freq's as they start and end with each nets skeg. Hiding in plain sight is as old as the hills, but this seems to have a new twist.
