Leaving ammo behind

Dropping a mag from the gun with one or more rounds in it.

Uspsa there isn’t a penalty?
IPSC there is a penalty?
I heard of a “tactical instructor” flip out and literally shoot a loaded mag someone left on the ground.

So what are some arguments for or against this? Why do some act like leaving a couple bullets behind is worse than smoking crack in the white house? Or is that only the wanna be tactical bro dudes?

I’m sure it’s situation dependent to a large degree. Gamer, vs tactical, vs home defence, vs law enforcement, vs soldier, vs assassin, vs gangster, etc.

Big Magnum Revolver, what is just right?

I've been wanting a big boom revolver for a bit and keep gravitating to the 454 Casul or similar, but wonder if I will miss going bigger.

This will mainly be a range toy, but something I could carry in the woods if I wanted. This is for shooting standing, I have a bunch of Contenders for bench and supported shooting.

I can handle recoil just fine, I've shot 500 S&W one handed and encore pistols in magnum rifle cartridges. I want something big, but must be enjoyable and accurate, not simply a double dog dare to try it.

What pushes me away from the X frame revolver is the size and weight. Simply not fun to shoot once the novelty wears off. I am a big guy, but supporting a 4.5 lb pistol sucks.

So finally getting to my question, what is the Goldie Locks perfect ballance, bigger than 44Mag, but not too big.

I reload, and would like the option of different power levels like 45 Colt / 454 Casul, 44 Mag, 454 Super, etc. I mostly like S&W and double action, but open to any high quality single or double revolver. What is your favorite?

schneider barrels in 2024

So I watched Erik Cortina's latest interview with David Tubb. Big fan of David for years. I had all but forgotten about schneider barrels. I know he and gary have a good working relationship and i believe they have a partnership going.

With all the other brands nowadays like bartlein, krieger, brux, hart, shilen, ace, etc producing blanks under $450, is there any reason other than potentially lead times to spend $500 on a schneider barrel blank?

Suppressors NFA Dealers be aware - There may be "ghost" items still in your E-account!

There could very well be NFA items lingering in your account that you transferred years ago. There were some temp hires in 2017 and 2018 who made mistakes.
What happened? NFA is run by hourly employees who press buttons. In these cases, the employee failed to press the button, upon approval, that removes that item from your account. Unfortunately, YOU will be charged with providing supporting documentation like Book / Page /Item number, Date Approved / Date Transferred, etc. in order to get your responsibilities validated and the item removed from your account.

OR -

There could be items in your account that you have NO record of receiving, nor do you have a customer for.
In this case, a well-meaning dealer/manufacturer got Form 3 Approval to transfer to you but the customer backed out before the item was shipped to you. That item lingers in your account unbeknownst to you and it will take getting the Form 3 voided before it can be removed from your account. The shipper must initiate that voiding

In both instances the dealer is held responsible for these items as long as they are in your account and will require action on your part.

WHAT TO DO:

Log in to your dealer account at EForms.ATF.GOV.
ACCEPT/DECLARE under penalty of prosecution that you will make no mistakes while in your account. [LOL] Then proceed to find the mistakes NFA has made in your account [LOL] by going to the My Profile tab, then the FFL/AECA/EIN ACCESS tab. Look right to the VIEW INVENTORY tab.
Now hit Export Line Items and download the CSV file.

You can use the right columns to make your notes, then save that as a .pdf file, renaming it to include the date it was downloaded.

You now have what they think you have at your fingertips and for your records.

If you find that there are discrepancies and want to resolve them, Email the .pdf file to:[email protected] and explain your situation.

Check your account weekly, at minimum, to know what is being Form 3'd your way, or to find the ghosts that appear from time to time. IT IS ULTIMATELY OUR RESPONSIBILITY and we will be held to account for what they think we have whether we have it or not.

Be LEGAL
Be AWARE
Be PROACTIVE
And by all means, BE COURTEOUS when dealing with NFA.

Biden declares Easter as "transgender day of visibility".

President Joe Biden was slammed on social media Saturday after marking Easter Sunday, the most solemn Christian holiday, as ‘Transgender Day of Visibility.’

Prominent Christians, politicians, and commenters flooded social media platforms with criticism after the announcement from the White House. While March 31 has been designated to honor the transgender movement since Biden took office, this year it falls on Easter Sunday, one of the most important days for Christians, as they celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

"On Transgender Day of Visibility, we honor the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirm our Nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect Union — where all people are created equal and treated equally throughout their lives," a statement released by the White House read.

"Today, we send a message to all transgender Americans: You are loved. You are heard. You are understood. You belong. You are America, and my entire Administration and I have your back," it continued. "NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility."

Savage elite precisión 300 prc

Hi guys.
I'm waiting for a custom rifle in 33xc.
It will take many months due to the wait for the different components.
I have thought about buying a savage elite precision in 300 prc to have fun in the meantime and some hunting.
I like the mdt chassis and a 30" barrel.
Is it an accurate rifle to shoot at 1000-1200 yards?
I appreciate all the information.
Thank you

Anyone else having issues using bitpay or other crypto wallets?

Been trying to buy some more physical gold using crypto for a week now but no joy. Have accounts at APMEX and JM Bullion, and both ostensibly take crypto, but every time it locks up during the pay phase. Confirmed my wallets are linked to bitpay.

Even ensured the VPN is turned off and cleared my cache.

Got on with an online chat earlier today at JM Bullion, but now they’re all offline for Easter weekend.

Really, really don’t want to put it on a credit card, and then pay it off w/the crypto…too many fees involved. Probably easiest at this point to just cash out, and wait for it to fund and do it via ACH/bank check.
